Default Focus Tdci

I made this up for the FFOC, so thought id put it up here as well
The Progress so far...........
Started out as a Boggo Std Colorado Red Edge bought when it was 2 yrs old with 21.5k on it. Last owner was a tech at the ford dealer where i bought it.
Swore i wouldnt modify this one.......

Look how high that sits............
First job was to colour code the boot handle and grile, de- badge the boot paint the calipers red and paint the alloys anthracite.......

It was crying out to be lowered so i dropped it 40mm........

Added 6000k HID's

Then i was sick of that stupid macaroni looking exhaust........

Colour coded the handles and washers.........

The car had a child.............

Then i got my plates transferred over from the punto............ Also put on a C3 wiper

I colour coded the rest of the plastic bits and made myself a mesh grille.......

Then bought a Van aaken Diesel tuning box and installed it...............

and a comedy sticker.........

Inside- Ghia handes and MOMO gearknob............

I then tinted the whole back lights red but didnt keep them long as they didnt shine amber. pity...................

With the chip I kept blowing up my std ford intercooler hoses so some nice blue silicone ones were ordered..........

But then some jealous person decided they didnt like my car being red so vandalised it...........

I then went about de-Tangoing the whole car, Made myself some back lights, put on a LHD reverse, and clear indicators in the headlights........

IMG]

I wanted a boost guage so got a nomad racing pod for a focus RS and plumbed in a boost guage.....At the same time i installed a Parrot bluetooth hands free kit and an ipod lead from the headunit

Time to take the car on the rollers- I had just put in a K&N panel filter........

It made 130bhp and 229lb/ft torque
The car has an appetite for front tyres and all 4 needed replaced so i went with some quality rubber.........

Then i added footwell lights a ghia interior light and started changing the dash to blue......(the speedo and headlight switch have been done since the pics were taken

went back to standard grille cos something terrible happened with the mesh one......

How she is now.........

Have done 30,000 miles in her and love her. Never had any problems (touch wood) apart from blowing the boost pipes off occasionally. Dont really want to do anything else to it but no doubt i will.
Really proud of my car because bar the suspension fitting, i have done all the work myself.

That is awesome! Shame the mesh grille had to go... now a few questions:

Is your arrangement with the rear fog light legal? I love that idea!
Just curious- how did you change the illumination to blue?
Finally, was there much work involved with the headlights conversion?

Cheers,

Kenny

mesh grile sort of melted

Fog light- I have had no probems with it.

The dash was quite easy to change i did the HVAC and air con switches myself, bought the rest aready done.

The headlights needed to e cut open at the back and once the filter was replaced re- sealed.

The dash is finished now- Not happy with the way the lockwoods light up, and you may notice orange dts- temporary just now.

Thats cos my Tdci didnt have rest pegs, and you cant get lockwood diesel dials without them. So they are only temporary- need to get to the scrappy.
Overall, think it looks miles better than the green.........

Not changing the LCD bit as its too complicated on the 03> clusters
