do you stock these martin or what is the wait on them also how much is delivery to northern ireland
I have 32 castings left at the moment but I get each one machined to the customers requirements so you would have to wait about 2 weeks for your wheels, I'm sure I could deliver them to NI for the same price as you're an existing customer
Loving all the compromises for more comfort not all about power, should make a fucking awesome road car
Well spotted Chip There have and will be loads of compromises to make this a proper usable quiet car.. The choice of an 18" wheel is against all that but I couldn't help myself

Going to be stunning and cant wait to see the finished article.Bit off topic but what did you paint the beam with? Did you just brush it or spray it? Just about to do mine and after ideas. Thanks in advance.

Just used Hammerite smooth black and brushed it on, don't bother with the spray on stuff they do the brush on is better for this job.
as amazing as that car looks, i'm sure that, were i in the position to build soemthing like that, i'd use the later flip filler lid to smooth the lines out and possibly the later squarer shouldered rear light clusters, but not just to further annoy others, but beause it's what i'd like the car to look like
whatever the end reslut martin, i'm sure your stamp of individuality will make it unique in some way shape or form
The loom is mainly all in place now The engine bay loom tape looked a little scruffy in places so I re-taped it in proper loom tape (not std insulation tape) but before that I pulled out the original alternator charge wire and replaced it with something a little more manly..
Spot the difference..
Wiper motor, heater blower and bulkhead plate are all now bolted in. ABS master, pipework and valve block are next..
alot of people get the ratings wrong when it comes to wiring martin, the max you are ever going to see on a std alt (the late one) is 90amp, and that will only ever be for a few seconds max, the cable on my battery is only 16m (squred multi) bigger is not always better or needed. unless its alredy fooked !

The old wire looked old and brittle (it is 22 yrs old!) so I decided to change it, I also have a high output alternator so its a sensible mod if you ask me. Just look at Sierra fuel pump wiring to see how it all degrades over time.

cant argue with that, them wires alway go brittle in the mid section of the lom where you can see them behind the turbo heatsheild.

As it happens Mark, the alternator wiring doesn't go backwards towards the turbo.. It goes forwards towards the front, round the front of the car and along the l/h leg straight to the battery.
any more pics and have you started the engine build yet
The engine build will start this week, just need to forklift it off the shelf and get on with it. It wont be radical, we are talking mildly ported head, std 500 inlet, different inlet cam, GT3071, T2 management all mapped on my rollers by myself.
nice to see your getting on with it mate but theres a long way to go
And dont forget my window man
Nice one dude I need front and rear window trims and know that the front is easy to get hold of but my rear window trim got cut when the screen was removed so I need that too, so until I get those its windowless! (if windowless is a word!)

i cant here you martin what did you say, lol
will be some car when its finished
I like your style with the sound deadening! most people strip it out when doing work like this. I have my evo fully done and it's nice (floor, doors etc) it's amazing the difference it makes to the feel, the doors shut with a decent thud and it feels good to shut an Evo door without it sounding/feeling like a bean tin.
Martin i run that exhaust on my car and its very quiet, glad mongoose decided to copy then when magnex stopped making them. Dont have any problems with speed bumpers either.
