Sorry for all this grief
We had a good look at the blistering and it does appear to be water (or something) under the last coat of paint, I can actually move a blister about using the edge of my nail.
Just so you know, the reason why I didn't get the rectification work done by yourself was due to the distance between us .... If you were local I would have got you to sort it.

And the cut out battery tray takes nearly 5 seconds with a pair of snips, so is utterly impossible for anyone to do other than christ obviously.

I do agree, although the little paint issues have caused a set back and a little disapointment, ( i have also seen the paint/car ) im sure it will turn out spot on and just how martin wants it.

Small update..
The gearbox has gone for a strip, chryogenic treatment and then rebuild with all new bearings and synchros, its a std box because I dont want noise.. Hopefully the treatment will help it withstand the GT3071 grunt
Have also painted the beam and trailing arms, was going to powder coat them but to be honest they were in decent condition and their days will be numbered as soon as the new rear end is ready

if that's aimed at me I am a bit mythed, I asked wether the 2wd pulley would fit a 4x4 pump knowing they run different pumps and belt systems why should that be seen as a dumb question? Try to get browny points very childish.
Away from the childs play I hadn't read it was originally an rs500 on the paperwork but this doesn't make it an rs500, a legal ringer yes and a triggers broom but never worthy of being called or badged an rs500. All in my dumb opinion.

My comments were mostly directed at all the muppets that buy RS500 headlamps and RS500 washer jets off Ebay because they believe they are different, special, unique No offence meant mate. Especially as you have about 567 RS500's
