I have 32 castings left at the moment but I get each one machined to the customers requirements so you would have to wait about 2 weeks for your wheels, I'm sure I could deliver them to NI for the same price as you're an existing customer

Well spotted Chip There have and will be loads of compromises to make this a proper usable quiet car.. The choice of an 18" wheel is against all that but I couldn't help myself

Just used Hammerite smooth black and brushed it on, don't bother with the spray on stuff they do the brush on is better for this job.

Little update..

The loom is mainly all in place now The engine bay loom tape looked a little scruffy in places so I re-taped it in proper loom tape (not std insulation tape) but before that I pulled out the original alternator charge wire and replaced it with something a little more manly..

Wiper motor, heater blower and bulkhead plate are all now bolted in. ABS master, pipework and valve block are next..

alot of people get the ratings wrong when it comes to wiring martin, the max you are ever going to see on a std alt (the late one) is 90amp, and that will only ever be for a few seconds max, the cable on my battery is only 16m (squred multi) bigger is not always better or needed. unless its alredy fooked !

The old wire looked old and brittle (it is 22 yrs old!) so I decided to change it, I also have a high output alternator so its a sensible mod if you ask me. Just look at Sierra fuel pump wiring to see how it all degrades over time.

cant argue with that, them wires alway go brittle in the mid section of the lom where you can see them behind the turbo heatsheild.

As it happens Mark, the alternator wiring doesn't go backwards towards the turbo.. It goes forwards towards the front, round the front of the car and along the l/h leg straight to the battery.

The engine build will start this week, just need to forklift it off the shelf and get on with it. It wont be radical, we are talking mildly ported head, std 500 inlet, different inlet cam, GT3071, T2 management all mapped on my rollers by myself.

Nice one dude I need front and rear window trims and know that the front is easy to get hold of but my rear window trim got cut when the screen was removed so I need that too, so until I get those its windowless! (if windowless is a word!)

Pester away dude I dont think you will find a 7" ZF lsd, the ratio doesn't matter as its the unit we are looking for.

I like your style with the sound deadening! most people strip it out when doing work like this. I have my evo fully done and it's nice (floor, doors etc) it's amazing the difference it makes to the feel, the doors shut with a decent thud and it feels good to shut an Evo door without it sounding/feeling like a bean tin.

No it's not a Magnex, as you say its very similar. It's actually a Mongoose made by Collins.
