If it were me mate i would probably have the hubs zinc plated and the hub carriers powder coated. Satin black PC works much better on pitted stuff. Would look well OEM that way too.

Why don't you replace the bearings mate? for the price of bearings is it worth faffing with used ones?

Looking spot on what ever you do!

yes rob ,

assumed my tca's were lol till i dug them out the gargae the other day

so a bit of a doosy on my part for flogging off my cossie hubs before checking lol

so... a predicament .. either find a pair of pinch bolt style hubs, strip n fit bearings and flanges into , rebuilt other set and flog ...

or ...... but a new set of adjustable tca's and flog these ones ....

doh !!

what you could do though is put the granada flanges into the cossie 2wd hubs........

but then you'd need to use 2wd struts as the granada ones are 4wd thickness...

I am still fooking about trying to fit 4 stud flanges to my granada cos hubs, so far the original mk2 ones dont fit, and now some from a j reg td estate dont fit. I am ready to throw the towel in! the only thing i aint tried is some abs versions. are they bigger diameter?

tbh mate ive no idea , i think if your having an issue it could be down to the bearings ??

have you tried fitting the td bearings into the hubs ?

No, never thought of that tbh. I gave them to a local mechanic who has a press to make removal easier, i shall ask him though. Cheers.

ok so a mini update ,

popped down to mk hq today , really hate going lol it makes me wish i had a better paying job lol !!!

anyway , had a good natter with mark over some bits n peices , for the project ,

and came home with these

big bag of over length link arms - rose joints, tube inserts ,

and this

so the plan is to order a cpl more rosejoints, then start to mock up the cradel setup /shock . wheel ect , and then the steering arm will be measure up and angles checked , then mark will machine it up , along with the bearing carrier ,

i cant just use the escos setup as i pulled the tubs inwards and obv running 9's

so that will be the next job on the shell when i get it set up for mock fit ,

big big thanks to mark , parts are spot on , there going to be sat on me fireplace for the moment so i can stare at them lol

also mark had the perfect solution to my lil issue with my adjustable tcas not fitting my hubs .........................

billet tca's and compression struts now on order @ marks lol

so my other compbrake sets will be cleaned up and be up for sale if anyones intrested
