far from it mate , ive a few skills ive picked up over the years , but not to the point where this is plain sailing , some of it is just trial and error but just going into it with a little caution ,

honestly it aint rocket science , it more of a case of looking at it from all angles throwing an idea in and working through it ,

but it does help when karl knows what hes doing and wennys on the other end of a phonecall lol ,


as i keep being told its only metal , everything can be replaced

ideally id like new bilstiens but with the fact its a road car i think gaz or avo will suffice ,

can always uprate at a later date ,

tempted to go for avos i prefer the black bodies to the blingy gaz tubes, lol

today ( sunday) was spent with wenny and the lads at the autosport show, had a scream saw some faces ,

anyway will hopefully be getting bk on with the project tomorrow ,id really like to get my bulkhead tacked in place and the new mk 3 battery tray offerd up ,

ok lil update from today ,

been sticking with getting the bulkhead wrapped up ,

so fettled the panel a little more


then offerd it back in to mark the vertical section




plan is to cut below the line , then we will dolly flat the pressed sections for welding

excess chopped





and panel bk on




and from below/inside




so i then prepped the panel for welding



and then mocked in the heater box and mk 3 battery tray




will be fettled for best fit , but i like it more than the cossie tray




another bright spark moment from beefy devolopments !!

p.s i only had 2 hrs at the garage so dont think im a lazy cunt lol ,

ohh and you can see in the pic the area where the cossie tray would sit opposed to the mk 3 tray ,

and the panel will be welded inside and out , and all welds smoothed

hope so thats the aim of the game

i was tempted to relocate the battery ,but it would loose that made by ford look ,

with a bit of luck ill get karl to re mig the spotwelds and tack the back up ,

ohh and ill cut the front x brace out so i can get the heater matrix in

and ill get my steering colum , wiper linkage ( that came off the cos s2 ) and see how that looks when fitted , may even grab the new pedal box
