Well I could have had the car back at Marks tomorrow, but it would have needed to be returned at sometime to finish off bits that cant be completed at this time, so i decided to leave the car at Spec-r. Talking to Pete he started to outline what he would like to do to make the car that bit more special, given the time, so i gave him the go ahead. It will however delay the finish of the car, but i still hope for it to be on display at ND end of September.

Two weeks since last report & i must admit other priorities mean ive not even asked on any progress in that time. Have decided a Holiday sounds good so will be away 2-14th September so it seems likely that it will mean ND on the 27th is probably not going to happen, pity but Hols come before cars. Mark & Deano will work on the car when its returned from Spec-r but still a fair bit that I have to do.

It's the first thing that jumps out at you in that pic!

I think that Escort was at Mark's the last time I was there. Mark was showing me your engine and I just remember being gobsmacked how things have progressed and my 500/500 build seems so pissy in comparison... then he lands the bombshell of saying 'yeah a few people are interested in similar specs to Rod's now'... pointing to the Escort! Crazy stuff!!!

Not heard from Graham for a long time so no idea.

On hols for 2 weeks so no progress untill I get back, hopefully it will be returned to Marks shortly after. ND being moved is a big relief as now no target date to meet . Maybe end of October early November is now a realistic date for the car to be running & a further 3 months before it will be ready to rumble so no events this year.

Back from Hols & heard from Pete today.
All tanks & rads are completed & fitted, all done in Black including cam cover, he is ordering a set of Black hoses to complete the look.
The Turbo hanger is nearing completion & should be fitted this week, its Petes design & ive not seen it yet. Final part is the Strut Brace & Pete is trying to get it completed but its delayed a few days. Looks like the car will be returned to MAD on Sat 26th September.
Ive asked Pete to remove all the parts once ive seen the car so that it will not get damaged when we sort out other parts.
Trying to get pictures from Pete of some of the tanks etc, but will wait a bit to reveal the complete job, Petes words are ' it looks the bollix' im going down next week to fianalise everything.

Not checked on progress this week cos ive been busy but things are happening in other areas have decided to fit a different Turbo which will test a different brand/type, it may make more power but thats not the main aim. Tests show its 15% more efficient than a Garrett & its claimed to spool like GT35 but deliver the Power of a GT4202. Ive read the tests against the GT4202 but time will tell if it works on my engine, we will try different exhaust housings & see what happens .
I have a challenger out there & he will be met with as much Power as we require to see him off so cant rest on my Laurels with 838bhp may need to up the game .

Bought a replacement bumper today from e-bay & will probably use it on the car as it retains its fog lamps but has the big centre cutout.
Made friends when picking up the item with the guy who is breaking a Saph to supply parts for a 550bhp Lotus Elan for sprinting/quarter miles, he knew nothing about MAD or the other Tuners on here he used guys involved in the RS200 Pikes Peak car. However he had heard of Cardi Man .
Been around for years & never heard of Passion Ford surely not, I will be keeping in touch with him mainly cos hes old like me & can remember the old days of modified cars .

Your bumper has been modified but I now want to go back to a more standard look with only the strut removed & not smoothed in vents at the front as well, now have both options to see what looks best .
