Mine's been ok - you can't expect a £200 gauge to be as accurate as a £7000 system - but mine was 'acceptably' accurate - around 0.5 difference in AFR at worst i recall...

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates - the project is 'on ice' at the moment, i've a lot going on at the moment and having just started my degree both time and money are a bit unknown at the moment.
I do want to see the project through and at least get 2010 with it!
Fraser from Prometheus is hopefully joining me for a weekend for us to tackle the wiring between us and then it'll just be TLC jobs prior to a fire up
Will keep it updated as it happens!

just been having a quick scan through this. gotta say the motor looks awesome mate. quick question though if you don't mind, where abouts did you source the mil spec bayonet type connectors from for the wiring loom? only asking as I'll be rewiring my series two soon and really fancied doing it the proper way.
regards
Tom

How's yours coming along now Gaz? Paint? Wrap?
What's the latest with yours Ben?
Ok, but it's not that interesting lol!
Great, now stop using it to herd sheep into your bedroom...
There is quite a bit left to do, a few bits i wasn't happy with are coming off now i have secured alternative solutions! Wiring is the next big challenge
I've had an enormous amount on in the last 12 months, far, far more than i ever imagined, i was getting fed up of setting myself deadlines and not being able to meet them, getting only the odd hour here and there to work on it and working on cars all day everyday meant i wanted a break from it before i ended up selling it in bits!
So - break had and uni started... going to just do it as and when i can and it'll be ready when it's ready!
Few photos from yesterday:
Now, i'm not proud of these, but i have moved lock ups which explains some of this:
Which if i'm honest - was another reason i'd got a bit down about it!
So - took the bull by the horns and had a 6 hour sortout!!!!
Found quite a few bits to sell as well - so keep your eyes open in the for sale sections
Will be making some more progress soon

Wow I can sympathise with losing heart after you've ripped the entire dash apart again but it will all be worth it in the end mate. Keep at it, don't want to tempt fate but don't let this turn into one of them that just ends up getting broken. If there ever was a project car I'd like to see on road, it's this one!!

BUT - there's a lot of one off stuff on here than i'm keen to try, there's a lot still left to do on the car, but i think the key now is to take my time with it

Glad to see you have re-found the motivation to see it through, i could see why you got down about it looking at all of the bits in it and the wiring looks like so much of a nightmare to do.
Be great to see what new ideas you are going to use, mine should be back on the road soon. The crank has now been balanced and the cosworth rods and arias pistons were bang on identical weights so they didn't need touching.
