Cheers Gav, it's a pleasure to hear that my restoration gives other people inspiration too.

I'm still waiting for the two wheels to get sorted out. They were delivered to Image Wheels earlier this week so i guess they will be shipped back again soon.

for example the mad flaps....how can whe ask for them?is there a specific number?

Cheers mate. Well, i've used a lot of time looking in the Ford part system (Microcat), it's a bit easier to order parts if you know the finis code. As far as i know the mud flaps are not available anymore, i was very lucky to get my hands on them. I can see if i find the finis code and send you a message

It's finally time for a little update again. Have had a busy time the past few weeks so the car has unfortunately got very little attention. While i'm still waiting for the two of the wheels to get back from Image Wheels, i have managed to get tyres on the other ones. Today i mounted the wheels at the back and adjusted the coilovers to the height i want. On the pics there are only 2,5 cm left with threads on the coilovers, pretty low but i love the look of it

Think i would get the problem with tires catching the arches then. A bit of tire stretch looks cool too

It's 8x17" on all four, ET20,5 at the back and ET35 at the front. The front wheels has been sent away from IW today, now i'm really excited to see if they fit.

Thanks for all the warm comments guys, as always it means a lot to me!

I finally received the front wheels on Friday but now the offset are 38. Tried them on the car today and it's all good as long as the spring is above the wheel, but then i'm not able to lower it as much as i want. Of course, a 3mm spacer would probably do the trick but i've always mentioned that the offset must be 35. Also, when i opened up the boxes the first time to check the wheels i noticed a few bad scratches on both of them. I'm totally gutted right now

They need to go back mate.

You'll be trying to convince yourself to keep em but you know deep down they'll have to go back to be happy!

I would'nt be cutting corners now after all this.

Get your money back mate and send all the wheels back, what a shitty company and service
You've all winter to find some decent wheels as these are not worth to put on your car mate

To recieve a set of wheels with these marks is bad service.
But to recieve those wheels with those marks AFTER they first delivered the wrong offset, is horrible service so say the least.

After writing a mail to Image Wheels with the same pics as shown above they responded very quickly and apologized for what has happened. As last time they will arrange collection of the wheels and get them returned back. So at least they are not arguing about the situation.

The wheels has really grown on me and since it's winter anyway i will be waiting for the other two wheels to return back with perfect finish and the correct offset.

Awwwww Stian

Sent them back, get your money back and start looking for some other wheels. Maybe CXN's or go search for BBS RS wheels if you have the money. If you want I can get you in touch with a friend of mine who might be able to help you with BBS wheels. Drop me a PM if you are interested

Cheers Roy, but i won't start all over again looking for a set of new wheels, i cannot afford it either to be honest. Several times during the restoration i've learned that to get things perfect it often takes a bit longer time than expected. What makes me keep on going and have the believe is when looking at the car standing on those wheels.

Finally! I received the wheels back from Image Wheels on Friday, the finish was perfect and guess what, they fitted perfect too. Today i've got tires mounted onto them and fitted on the car. It was really a big relief to see the wheels fitted onto the car, i'm so happy with the look and how the car stand.

Sorry for the bad picture quality, the light in the garage is not so good. Also when i look at the pics now i've got to be honest that they don't do it justice.

Probably the best pic where you get the idea of how big the wheel really is.
