just going to service the 1.8 zetec i have with new gaskets and water pump..etc then when i have enough money a new set of cams and verniers...
might try rear disc conversion and once i have it all working and its not a wase of money i mite take the engine out and turbo it...

still really keen on rear wheel drive, tempted ive looked around and think that a saph transmission tunnel could be welded in and the rear axel etc could come off a capri or saph, though im not totally sure!

might just make it, drive it and make something else even madder!

the problem is i am just a student working at the weekend and paying rent on a house...so i am totally skint..the car above cost me £120..wheels £185..panels £85 and the list goes on ..and on..and on!

will keep the updates coming!!all comments and suggestions welcomed!
oh and by the way, im dead serious i want this to work for once in my life and its NOT going to be a Bodge like normal!

CHEERS

if i were you mate i would just put it back together so that its all rust free, and then decide what you want to do with it.
if you try and do it all now you could soon find yourself falling down that very large money sapping hole

i know what you mean about being a student and trying to do these things mate.
im a student as well so i have to work 21 hours a week on top of my degree to aford to do things to my westfield.

some more pics from today getting the front suspension in, would of been a quick job but there always a problem...getting the nut undone from the top of the strut to relase the compression plate was a nightmare and took up most of the afternoon!

anyone with any information on how to change panels please reply..
below is a picture of the top join of the front wing and the slam panel. how do i remove the slam panel??

do i drill out this spot welds? if i do there will be a hole through the wing flap part??? please help...panels need to be put on by mid march for me to be on schedule for the engine etc to be ready for summer
!!

more updates as they happen

cheers

getting ready for the removal of the panels. to do this i have to move the car to my mates house as the garage im renting has no power. bummer so no mig welder!

so the day arrived to tow the car for what seemed like miles across town, so we had to hook up some brake lights!

can really see the car coming on now, and yes it has been lowered 40mm!!
lol!

towing! thanks to dan as his KA!

devised a brake light solution
