Nice looking car m8! And being a mk6 turbo, thats sweet Im starting to build my own Zetec turbo escort soon enough, although the base car will be mk5 1.6 cvh Anyway, sepcs are gonna be wild...well when the car is finnished some day. But something like this: 2.0l zetec, accralite pistons, burton con rods, custom exhaust and inlet manifolds, ported and polished head, gt28 turbo, custom livemap management, stage2+ bc gearbox, ect ect. But as said the project hasnt even started yet, just waiting to get rip everything off from my escy

jaypen, its slow aint it lol!!!

jus done a few long distance runs, starting on the round town stop start stuff, done 300+ so far, gonna do 500 then change the oil to 5/30 and see if it clears the little rattle under load ive still got then a few more miles and back to ahmed for the injectors, fuel pump n mapping

get the ford 5/30w oil been told its good,as you may know wrong oil in a zetec will make it rattle, not run right etc

i put in a morris "running in" oil, done 5 miles drained it & put some good old mineral in ,running in oil was like porriage!!!

i am running 5/30w,got a rattle but i am convienced its the cam followers, ordering a new set in the morning & fitting them tomorrow night will let you know if it stops the "rattle"

what chip & injectors are you going running, what map sensor?

glad the running in is going well.

yeah i was dubious about the oil but ill get it out asap.

mine seems to go when its warmed up, but its 'just' there if u know what i mean

injectors im not 100% on, as thats up to ahmed, above beiges tho and high impedance for the fez management and a 2.5 bar map sensor

fitted new set of followers yesterday, still a little bit of noise there put that down to the new parts want "bedding in",as i only went round the block after i fitted them!

gona go out put a few miles on it over bank holiday w-end.

engine still pinking a little hopefully get that sorted when it goes on rollers, can't see it being the timing as i have had that set up with a dial gauge down through the spark plug hole.

the weather and darkness got the better of us, jus need to break the mounts etc n lift the fooker out now
