First Project, Escort 1300, Finished! 6/10
Been on the forum a while, havent really posted untill now. I've had this car for about 2 years, havent done any proper work untill recently. The car isnt that great but as im still training at college. its all a learning curve for me.
This is how it started out.(sorry about the picture quallity)
Started a general clean up sorting out a few odd jobs, waxoyling the inner arches, sills and hammeriting the rear beam, suspension struts and brake assembly.
Then discovered the valve steam seals where on there way out . So off came the head, Decided to strip the font end to do a few other little jobs.
Before with two pistons cleaned.
After with all pistons cleaned and gasket trial fitted.
No more room for the golf clubs
Started to removed all the baked on oil from the head components
Before and After
Push Rods
Hammerited the Rocker cover and Raditor bracket
Before (Also sprayed water pump pully)
After
And the car's current state
Will post more updates soon. Also like to thank Rostill2007 for the help!.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
the only reason for doing a brown 1300 is the car was free and its cheap on insurance he needs a small car for when he passes his test and it will look good when finished as he will be getting a gti kit and some black gti wheels as soon as cash allows.

Havent done anythink lately due to being ill. Having the valve seats re ground, hopefully that will help on compression.
Also on the look out for some cheap ford alloys if anyone has some selling. thanks!
