I had a few issues with the inserts in the mount when i was fitting it - when bolted up the inserts were a little too long and preventing it from sitting flush - i tested the depth of the hole and their is enough for the bolt although they could do with a few mm off as they are a pain to fit.
Meant to speak to you regarding the prop bearing - how did you know yours had failed as i'm wondering if to replace mine, did you get your gearbox mount sorted?

The bearing on mine is fine but the donut was shagged.
Have a Vibra-techniques mount to try but still waiting on the prop donut to be delivered, plus have some new rear springs so makes sense to do it all in one hit rather than work on the car 3 times so will let you know bud.

I just jacked the car up and when underneath grabbed the prop from either side of the centre joint and saw how much I could move it (It was alot) so I removed and stripped it down.

I'm away on holiday on Thursday mate but if it helps I can try to pop over to you one evening with the fuelling and iaw gear, if needs be I can't take a few data logs and map locations and try to compile you a closer base file for your run in period

A little update on the running in process
The first 60 miles were done and the car was massively over fuelling and running pretty poor, i was concerned about having this map to run the remaining miles in so after speaking to James at MSD he kindly offered to come over and check the map out and get the car running safe enough to get the miles on. The original map was running mega rich so another map was added and the fuelling was brought back down to where it should be with the lambda control and now it's running really good, a little issue with cold start but that can be addressed when live mapped so i'm now 160 miles in and loving it. Air injector disconnected and boost set at 10psi but i've kept the rev's under 3500rpm so haven't really seen any more than a few psi.
New brakes are bedded in and pretty impressive over the previous setup - still need to do some high speed stops but at the min they seem really good.
Having a right headache trying to find the perfect suspension setting for the roads that isn't too soft it scrubs the arches but not to still.
Need to get the car in the air and check the bearing in the prop, shorten the diff mount bolts and replace the gearbox mount.
I'm going to drop the oil early as i'm not sure if it's been contaminated with over fuelling so on the safe size i've got another 2 x 5lt of Millers test bed oil plus it get's rid of the metal fragments that would have been collected in the early stages of running in.
Have a slight leak coming from the gearbox oil fill bung so that needs to be replaced with a new one and taped - and the rear diff cover needs to be resealed as that also is leaking slightly.
Apart from that it's all good and is being dropped off in 3 weeks for live mapping. After speaking to James i think a 32psi boost peak is the aim.
I've also made the standard support bracket longer by adding a 20mm section in - just waiting for my washers off Burton and it's good to go on.

Well another family trip, 245 miles in - 3 weeks and 550 to do until i'm happy that the motor is ran in. The motor feels really good and the turbo is deffo going to put a smile on my face as you can feel it just wanting to launch and it's so hard not to floor it

Haha excellent sig, I use Photoshop CS5, and a plug in called Topaz, and that was Topaz Adjust, its really a gift, you just tweek the settings until it comes up the best. Options are endless, making things look like their moving at high speed, old 70's photo, different camera lenses, zooms, options are mad lol
Looking great Chris,
Glad to hear you got it sorted and its now running better, think you have done more miles than me now, lol
I went for a higher poundage than I planned to as you said you were on the 225's, lol
I went from 150lb up to 185lb on the rear and can't really tell the difference on bumps etc but it now doesn't squat so much and has stopped the tyres scrubbing on boost

Mines still fitted with what ever GAZ send them out with so what is the best option thats stiff enough but doesn't bounce you out the window and what settings on your dampers do you set for road use?
185lb and 14" long, got them from JJC race and rally
If I remember correctly im sure he recommended 325-350lb for the front and 150lb for the rear for road use but the 150lb on the rear for me allowed the car to squat too much when on boost in 2nd and 3rd gear meaning the tyres scrubbed the arches so I have now gone for the 185lb rear springs and its fine for me.
Jim at SCS measured my rear springs for me to get the poundage (Still don't know the fronts but they will do for now) but sure you could find the info for the Gaz somewhere online
HTH
Edit:
Done some searching for you...
GGR say the GHA Kit has Front 350lb 10" spring, rear 225lb 12" spring
and the Gold kit has Front 400lb 8" spring, rear 225lb 12" spring

Chris give faulkner springs a call http://www.dfaulknersprings.com/ give them the spring lengh and diameter id go for 225lb rear progressive to 350 so harder the squat the poundage increase and front 350 progressed to 450 or near as dam it this will firm it up but not to much but under hard driving it wont wollow about ,
Glad your getting to use the car mate looks sweet as

Cheers for the info lads - does anyone know what the diameter of the std GAZ coil springs is?
So do i want to get the same size spring as whats on there, or will a longer spring make the ride quality any different?
