Feb?
Hows it goin mate?
I went and done a bit yesterday, all the front suspension is bolted up properly (what a c*nt that was) fitted steering rack and track rod ends, so now it can go back on its wheels woo hoo, although still need to bolt rear caliper brackets on but just need to go get 8 high tensile allen head bolts for that.
sorted some wiring behind the dash, small amount left to do, then i'll tidy it all up and make sure its secure, fitted some heater ducting although looking at some of it, it needs a clean inside! so next thing to do is fit the steering collum/pedals and then I'm about ready to put the dash back on, windscreen in and front seats
Couple of not so interesting progress pics...
hopefully have the dash in within the next couple of days

you should pour wax oil down inside the pillars , sills and archies before you build it all up to proserve it all after all the work thats been put in to it renewing everything .

Steve, Im plannin on doin the chassis legs, rear inner arches and prob the A pillars (somehow) lol.
Stuck the steering collum in, dash and windscreen over the past 2 days, jus need to sort some ignition wires before I can plug the indicator stalks up though.
what a difference it's made.
Brake and fuel lines next

Haha! Im kinda stuck at the moment to do much more I need to start buying some bits, need a bias valve and some brake line then I can fit that lot up and then I need some stainless tube for the fuel lines!
Fitted the rear discs and calipers, rusty discs should clean up fine once used!
Still want to make the rear end fully adjustable, but need the coilovers and the cash!
Might go and clean/paint my block tonight and stick in the crank!

Alright Steve, haha the wallet's out today!!
Bought some copper nickel bake line (still undecided wether to paint it dark green to match original or just keep it bare?) and an rs2000 handbrake cable so I can hook that up, one more thing off the list and all that! Now after this post im just goin on fleabay to buy a wilwood brake bias valve! I will have brakes by the end of next week!!!!! lol
I got the block painted black finally and decided to stick the crank and oil squirts in while I was in the mood.
Now need to do the ring gaps, get some ARP big end bolts and an oil pump!

Cheers lads!
Spammage, not really got a target but a car with 'simmilar' spec (higher CR for one) made 272@ the wheels. I'd be happy with a safe 230@ the wheels but i'd say it will be good for a bit more than that!
Got headlights in, had to lengthen the wiring for the drivers headlight as now it runs under the inner wing (the wiring not the headlight!)

Woaaaaaaaaaah i only come for a sneaky peak now and again and this is brilliant! It's a fairly big jig saw puzzle!
Fair play to the work you've pumped in dave
Did andy say you bought the GS? Did you break it? And what did grippy sell it for?

Chop, it's a huge jigsaw puzzle...its good fun though!
I got the GS for the parts, engine, brakes, turbo, big valve head/cam & 3" mongoose etc as it had all the bits I needed for mine so made sense to get that!
If i bought all the parts seperately I'd of payed more than what I did for the car so I'd say I got it at an 'ok' price..
And to think Grippy's is still lying as a bare restored shell !!
Might go and make a start on the front brake lines today, hopefully sending the head off on monday to be checked over before I stick it on!
