I've decided to put the fiesta turbo engine in, standard rad and cooler or maybe a front mount like airtec..for the moment, on a T3 and piper cam. Reason being, I want the car out for summer and if I stick the ZVH in i'd need a whole load of stuff to get it to work proper and ive just not got the time atm to get it done for the summer!

So, since last update ive got the engine out my fiesta, painted the block, put on a helix padle clutch and new relase bearing, sourced a T3, fitted a piper cam, put my B&M shifter together and re-done my front brake lines in braided hose, sure ive done more but cant think?


couple of pics of the lines, and the engine, need to get some bits shot blasted, pick up my T3 and get my alternator reconned before I put the engine in, not long to go.

then Rab the arsehole he is , is going to help me fit the standard Ofab loom (extend it into the inside of the car somewhere)

this is only temporary tho until next winter when hopefully i'll fit the ZVH after ive bought everything to go in with it!

still need to do the rear brake lines..

Chop, Believe me If I could put the ZVH in I would, but unfortunately ive not got another Ł1500 lying about to finnish it at this moment in time... I also cant weld and due to some 'unforseen' circumstances I cant get the help I need to fabricate things. Its not what I want, but unless I want to look at the car over the summer doing nothing then ive no choice....I'm also getting pissed off with the thing so the sooner I make it a working car again the better, once its on the road it can get made to look pretty!

Trust me, its not what I want, but its what needs to happen for the 'moment' the ZVH is still sitting there, it's not going anywhere, im just spreading the cost over a longer period and getting use of the car while im doing so.

anyhoo,

engines in along with rad and cooler...some eagle eyed amongst you may notice it's sitting at an angle...that's because I didnt have the correct top engine mount but a new one is on its way hopefully from ford so i'll put that on tommorow!




Yes it looks shit, engine still needs 'dressed' but I was tripping over it, and now its in I can get on with making it run and address any cosmetics at a later date!

Got the correct engine mount, so engine is now straight...
Bolted a standard turbo on
bought a brand new alternator
painted alternator bracket and heat shield
painted starter, it was newish just dirty
fitted fuel filler pipe
fitted B&M shifter
put some corrigated plastic tubing over the wiring in the inner wing to protect it

need to order turbo oil feed pipe, samco or roose black hoses, Rab needs to get his arse to Glasgow and wire it up for me also

Another small update..

Painted manifold and turbo ex housing with VHT plastikot black paint (will it stay on? )
put the turbo back on..
put alternator bracket, adjuster, heat shield and alternator on, put starter on and fitted the speedo cable.
also polybushes the rear trailing arms and painted them black, just need to polybush one rear arm and paint them both black and maybe get the rear springs powder coated,
Got some new bosch ignition leeds too!
some pictchooors...







Just going to order some crackle black for the rocker cover, inlet manifold and few other bits and pieces!
