Norwegian trackday sapphire, small x-mas rollcage-update 23.12.11
thanks for the comments guys!
ordered up some Gaz Gold's last week, from woodford garage motorsport. the coilovers are now buildt at Gaz and simon (nice guy!) from woodford said that i would have it before x-mas!
an-couplings and a aeromotive fuelreg is also going to be ordered today.
going to the workshop now, hoping to get the plates over the de-compression-sones ready, and weld up the holes in the floor.

GAZ are here!
got them today, really fast delivery by woodford, ordered on 4. december. not bad consider they had to be buildt and shipped from Gaz
many thanks to Simon at Woodford! top guy! well recommended

okay, here we are for a small updata again.
finished the inside of the car, only some cleaning and then paint left to do.

made a sturdy bracket for the hydraulic handbrake, didn't have the gearbox in at the time of allignement, but i think i would clear the gearstick

started on the gearbox, as we all know the fifth gear on the t5 is a pain to get off in one piece. i did not manage that, clipped 3 small parts of the sprocket...

the rest of the box is in parts

ordered up a new fifth gear sprocket, synchro's for 1.2.3. and 4. gear and seals as they didn't look so good. the rest of the box was good so no more changes. ordered from burtonpower just before newyear, i'm hoping to get the parts soon, so the box can get in the car again.
next project after the inside of the car is this

blueboy is now totally stripped and ready for a makeover

cheers!

skal ha inn sedanen til en kompis snart, og montere gaz gold, skal sette pĺ felgene da, og se hvordan det ser ut.

Blir spennende og se den nede pĺ hjulene
thanks for all the comments guys, it's much more fun to work on a car that you get positive feedbacks on
loader5710: i've just ordered up two 1x2m aluminium plates in 0.7mm thickness, that's goiing to be used for now. want to get some carbon ones later, but the budget (or my other half that i'm living with
) isn't quite ready for that now. maybe next year...
the headlining is just staying like it is, white. have some plans for the whole roof sometime but yet again, the other ha...ehhh..."budget" stops it...
cheers!

I'm keeping my headling though as england is so wet, condensation gets to be a prob, so keeping it should help.
gonna make the door cards and a plate to all the gauges/switches and all electric on this year, and i was hoping that i could use these as moulds for carbon bits next year...
been talking to a guy that teached the lads at the koeningsegg-factory how to make carbon-bits, to come and give us a few tips'n'tricks

alright, some progress that is finnally showing something. wass acctually goiing to assemble the gearbox and mount it yesterday, but i needed a motivation-change, and decided to mount some of the "inner-bits"
some of the part are just test-fitted as the next "indoor"-thing now, is to start building the wiring for the whole car.
pictures are always good entertainment

also managed to make up some templates for the door cards.

thinking about spraying the door card in matt black, what do you guys think?
i'm not really into bare aluminium for some reason. also, i think the black/white colour-theme is good. the yellow kinda brakes up a bit to, don't you think?

a little update; the gearbox is now in one piece, and mounted in the car a long with the starter, freshly skimmed flywheel, 6pad clutch and an uprated pressure plate(?). also welded the plate that goes between the engine and the flywheel on to the block with 2 small welds. tired of fooling around with the plate each time the box is out.
also welded up a box for the battery that is now going in the back of the car, an also started on a plate that is going to cover the hole around the B&M-shifter.
all the mechanical bits that now remains is to fill the box with oil, mount the moongoose, mount intercooler and alu radiator with fans, mount the crankshaft pulley with the 36-1 wheel, make a new oil breather tank and fit some hoses here and there
slowly getting there...was hoping to get all this done on this week, so i could start on the wiring in the easter-week.
pictures will follow in a few days
BUT! how do i change my topic?!? any tricks, guys?

Olek, to change the topic title you click edit on your first post, then click 'go advanced' at the bottom of the little grey area and you should be able to change it there!
Car is looking fantastic mate, great work! Cage looks awesome

thanks for the tip, Dan. but my first post has 36 pictures in it, and when i try to change the topic, i get an error message saying that i can only have 20 pictures in each post...don't know what to do, doesn't want to change everything i have written in the first post either.
maybe a mod/admin can fix it?

hi again guys, small update with some pictures today.
the gearstick-arragnement

made a hook for the steering wheel, a snap-off is goiing to be used.

made a battery-box

door-cards in mild steel, ordered aluminium but. will do for this year...

also mounted the gaz golds, the pectel wiring is coming together and the some small things around the engine has found it's place.
looking pretty tired now, needs to be washed!!

also ordered up fuel hoses, an-couplings and a aeromotive fuel reg from summit racing now, should arrive in a week or two...
cheers!

finnaly a new update!
have done a few things on the car now,
-gaz's are mounted and adjusted, need to rise it at the front, about a cm or so
-mounted new an8 and an6 braided fuel hoses, soldered the fuel-rail to accept an-couplings, mounted the aeromotive a1000 fuel reg.
-made a new catch-tank.
-mounted pace intercooler, radtec radiator ++
-pectel is now in place along with modified crank whell (36-1) and modified distributor.
-generally tidying up the engine bay
also got some 215-35/18 tyres on the rl7's, REALLY pleased about the wheel!!
need to fold the front arches and do som minor adjustment on the offset, but nothing major.
to cut time and money short i have decided to use the orginal electrical harness, just remove all the things that arn't needed
picture-time:

as you can see, the car is FINALLY on it's wheels!! still need to do some minor things underneath, but i just had to have a look with the rl7's
