Norwegian trackday sapphire, small x-mas rollcage-update 23.12.11
Nick, these gearboxes have been used for ages here in the north with semislicks etc and 700+ bhp. they tend to whine a little after some use, but they hold the power. i have just been building up a mates sierra with a 500bhp engine, and the gearbox seen to hold very well. very nice to shift to.
Lincoln, it's actually been some failures here in norway, but i can warrant how the shafts previous condition have been. we'll just have to wait and see if they brake, but one thing's for shure, i'll shure as hell gonna try.....

Is is available in 3 versions.
Lincoln, with 28 spline axles and all steel house.
Cobra, with 28 spline axles and alu house
Cobra R and latest cobra's with IRS, 31 spline axles and all alu house.
Rear lid is the 'weakness' off it, std unit handles roughly about 1000 V8 hp.
I'm using the Cobra R 31 spline version with a custom cnc machined rear lid on the granada.
Cheers
Joel

Nice work, and sensible choice of diff, the 9' ford m-sport one is imo, obsolete by now, old, expensive crap in comparison to this , more modern and correct priced unit.

I got the Ultimate 8.8 rear lid with the bearing cap supports. Makes it easier to hang the diff mount off too!

well, not really, been really busy all summer, and now school takes all of my time.
but i've gotten some work on the roll-cage done, hoping to finish it within a few weeks time, will post some pictures of the car then.
also bought some uniballs to make some new suspension-links, been reading up on suspension-geometry for a school-project so i'm hoping to adress some of this knowledge into the old beater

Hi DaveCrack,
Yes I still have it, but time and money are going into a small farm at the moment. It does get some attention from time to time, but it's atleast a couple of years since I last worked on it.
Have been collecting various parts that are needed for the build, but I'm still missing funds for paint, engine management, turbo, exhaust manifold, wiring harness, clutch and various other parts.
Hoping to get it finished some day, then maybe use it on track for a year or two and sell it or trade it with something a little more usefull than can be used on the road....
