got up today and done a few little bits, layed few more layers to the fibreglass mould on the arch spat.
my drilled and grooved cossie rear discs, mintex race pads front/rear and harness fixing eyes arrived this morning from rally design
i added an 'RS1600I' sticker to the bonnet
put a few bits of rubber edging trim to tidy up panels abit
and then cleaned and sprayed the calipers which are to go on the car (cossie rears, ap princess fronts)
just need some rear disc conversion brake lines now as burtons no longer sell them then brakes are ready to go on car

Oh yeah, I don't care about the badge to be honest, can spend stacks and still end up with a shitter.
Trying to sell my current car and quite fancy a base model to stick a rude engine into for a bit of track fun, just need to shift mine and find a decent car!

Nice project, alot like mine actually...
When I dropped the zetec turbo to my mk3 shell, I noticed the same negine mount problem. Not many people realize that the engine mount sits some 10cm lower on the mk3 as compared to mk4. I too tried cutting the mount first, but too much needd to be cut. Then I finally opted for the 80-83 CVH mount which is smaller. Quite perfect actually, but really hard to find as new. I found an old but good sample and just injected the remaining openings in the mount full with black polyurethane "rubber".
I talked a few times with a helpful guy who keeps this site to get the facts right:

popped down to local paint shop today and bought myself a gravity fed spray gun, etch primer, 2 pak laquer, DA pads and an adapter for my DA . I then quickly went over the corner bumper id dabbed the 1st gel coat over the other week and flatted back (needs another coat as ome places low as been absored ) but looks a damn site better than i thought it would.
i released the mould for my arch spat off the car yesterday and thought id peel the release agent out and get a piccy, prob try and mould the carbon into it over the weekend

cheers for sorting the mount out mate, it arrived yesterday and got it welded up fitted today, as for brake lines a set of rst braided ones worked so i used them as i had them laying around. i fitted all brakes today (no fluid though) went to rewind caliper on rear and one seal blew out so had to overhaul caliper lol.

update time guys!!!!!! was out yesterday and fitted new engine mount after welding it up (cheers for sourcing me one one danny boy669) calipers, uprated pads, disc and braided lines all round
then..... i picked up my manifold today from zetaboostboy522bhp, he's done a great job and equal length too . i then fitted it and bolted my turbo up
and to finish off fitted a few silly things like timing belt, alternator .
