Track day 3door
Well i have not long had this car, and i bought it knowing it needed a head gasket and a few other bits and pieces doing before it saw its 1st track day with me as the new owner, and with that in mind i thought i would do a little feature in here.....so hear goes
Been the 1st night i have had to get it parked in the garage, and get all the bits stripped off it, around the engine bay, as i am not only going to to do the head gasket but also give it a full clean up and make sure everything is in tip top condition b4 it comes out again.
So here are a few pics of the car so far, and i will try to keep it updated as much as possible .........
Before it went in the garage .........
had to take a few pictures of where stuff goes, just in case i forget down the line
And then a few of it, with not much left on it around the offending area, ready to be beheaded and a fair bit of spit and polish .....
Was getting dark, so last picture is not very clear
Found that the oil return pipe for the turbo has a massive split in it, and its nearly hanging off, and so has chucked a great deal of the oil over the side off the engine, but im sure the Head gasket has gone as its mixing the oil and water
Thanks for looking
Mark

A massive thanks to Dan & Dyon for helping me on Sunday to lift the head off once I had stripped it all down.
Was a nice suprise once we had done it, as we descovered some pretty cool things lerking beneath the head, only thing is, im now left with some questions.........
Can anyone help me please?????
1, Dose anyone know what pistons they are?
2, Can anyone tell me if i can reuse the long studded headbolts, or do i have to just replace the nuts or somthing?
3, And dose anyone know what the tourqe settings are for these long studded bolts
Cheers for looking, and any help would be gladly appreciated
Thank you
Mark
