loking good so far danny, cant believe how mint its come up, then again u find the cars that havent realy been washed and polished much before do tend to coz the paintwork is never really touched under the dirt lol.
no disrespect as i love what people are doin with them, just wondered, whats the current trend/fascination with escort bonuses? is it coz they are bottom of the range so ideal for sleeper looks???
voodoos look great, had them on a previous escort and always been one my favourite rims.
i think u should totally mint it up including engine bay, but obviously keep the sleeper look. Lookin forwards to the next updates, will keep an eye on this thread

Plus, having a car that looks like a bonus, but goes like an RST is so much fun!

Mike thanks for your comments With regards to the Bonus thing, i think it is mainly the fact that they seem to be in better condition than the RS's, unless you spend 3K plus. I will however say, that i also love the looks of them, you forget how pure and simple the mk4 is without spoilers etc I love mk4's grew up with them etc, and they are fast dieing out 
you try finding a bog standard 3dr now, its hard work(maybe not as bad essex way where they were built) and i cant remeber the last time i saw a base 3dr that wasnt a Bonus. A mk4 3dr Popular is a very rare beast now So, but them now if you want them, the values are already on the up

Well my little Bonus now has Turbo veins bless it
Bonus Loom all removed...
and yet another mint spot that normally rots
Turbo loom is now all in(didnt take any pics, whats there to look at?
Next step is getting the 1.3 HCS and gearbox out ready for cleaning up the bay and fitting the turbo bits

Tony, if you havnt noticed, its summer and i want it on the road, driveing round in a rusty transit is no good

lets keep an eye on that, see what she goes for
spent a few hours on it this morning, removed the engine and box, exhaust etc and took them straight to the tip
gave it a good wash under the bonnet before i put it away, came up ok, paints a bit thin in places Not painting it under there, this is meant to be a cheap quick build while i do my mk1
Anyone got a set of RST fuel lines from front to back at all? pm me if you have

This is really starting to make me think, was saving up for a geniune RST but what your doing looks fun because your getting good results for little (no disrespect intended at all) efforts due to the car's gleaming original condition.

I love this, it looks so mint, been telling my little bro who wants an escort but isnt 17 yet that he wants to get himself a bonus and lower it with some voodoos and give it a good polish (obviously he wouldnt be putting an RS lump in it!)

well, nearly collected all of my fuel system, just need to get a accumulator ,fuel sender(bonus ones have two outlets not just one for the return) and petrol tank now and then i can fit it all to the car
