guessin at that price you aint confimed your mods then??

love the bonus's. i need one in my life.
nope...neither the 1.6 lump!
hope you dont bump into anyone then.
last time out my cheapest quote was £2200, 19 with all mods declared on a 1.25, 3points, 1crash and no no-claims. i hate insurance prices.
someones being bummed there then, I paid just over £1200 when i was 19 for the silver bonus with all turbo running gear(declared), 2 years ncb and 6 points.

right been attacking the car again today Got the metering unit all in, fuel lines and all electrics connected up, gear linkage in and adjusted(with 4 speed gear nob on )clutch conected, speedo cable connected, starter motor in and wired up, alternator brackets in(left my alternator at the unit though ) basically got quite abit done in the engine bay

then got stuck into the n/s suspension/brakes. Ripped all the bonus crap out, bolted up the Apex Dampers and springs, new RS Turbo discs and pads, popped the driveshaft in and also my bargain £10 RS Turbo callipers They even came with Black Diamond Braided hoses and the mouning bolts
Sadly though, the original steelies dont fit over the brakes so it will have to stay on the voodoos Talking of the voodoo's i managed to purchase a full replacememnt set of brand new Nankang NS1's this morning from a tyre warehouse for £136 for 4 fully delivered! They are whats on the car now, and i like them as they have a rounded shoulder which helps with rear arch clearance Bargain

aso, been getting the 434 layers of paint of the rocker cover slowly today with paint stripper Keep applying it while i do a job then come back and scrape it off, and then repaeat while i do the next job....
Its takeing ages but its getting there

more tomorrow

how big are the brakes? mk6 fiesta steelies are 14inch so might clear, if you want a proper sleeper.

Top work Danny. Amazing what a difference you can make for the effort put into it in a short spce of time if you can get the parts.
Well done.
Agree on changing the wheels tho..not because I don't like them..purely from a sleeper point of view.

top work there
most mondeos run either 14 or 15 inch steelies so you shouldnt struggle to find some to fit over your brakes

Well what a crap day
rubbish weather=no work on car
so decided to pop into the shed and get the dam rocker cover sorted. After what seemed like forever with the paint stripper finally got it bare metaled....

a splash of filler primer...

then had a hunt around to see what aerosols i had for the top coat. I didnt want to spend any money at all on this so searched out a can which had enough paint left and the only one which did was the Plastikote i had used on my brake lines on my last build so the colour of my rocker cover is......

Green

has tidied it up nicely(a bit too nice if im honest) and the whole process cost me fuck all.Result

Nice one!

Just one question, Why have you got the registration of the old bonus on the new one? Was it to see what black and silver plates would look like on it?
