Black Bonus Build -BREAKING
Right well, following on from the moaning of my last Bonus build thread( https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=145854 ) to start a new one for my new build, ive done one
Unline my last bonus which became a squeeky clean full RS this is one with a difference. No RST lookalike bits, no powdercoating, no buying everything new from ford, just roughly 200 bhp turbo lump and a clean looking standard bonus
This is how i bought it, paintwork looks like its been polished with a brick and tottally standard apart from being lowered 40mm(60mm in Bonus talk) on Apex springs.
Standard interior. Will stay the same apart from full valet to get it mint, better door cards(these are in discusting condition ) and a descreet boost gauge
Egnine bay will get a pressure wash before Turbo lump goes in but thats it
And this is it for the outside apart from getting the cutting compund out to get her shineing Oh and obviously it will have the turbo exhaust pokeing out. That sticker is definatly staying as are the ambers
When i bought the car it also came with a full set of adjustable dampers to go on, and a new front panel and wing(dont need these).
Some of the other bits ive started to slowly collect
Aim is to have her al done by Trax

2nd Bonus, 2nd solid Battery Tray, gave it a good pokeing and no rot just going to cover it all in waxoil to keep it good.
Have also given the n/s front wing and rear quarter there first cut and polish.Has come up well, thing i may have struck lucky with this car like the last one just the door to do now on this side

I like the wheels, think they look really cool.
One thing I would change is to fit the grille from an Orion, think it looks a bit better with the body colour bar!
If you ever did want rid of the wheels, let me know, I'd love a set of them

If you put a big set of alloys on it then it ruins the look you are going for.

After getting the front and wing cut and polished, my dad suggested useing Brasso to cut the door as he reckoned it would do the biz better than t-cut and cutting compound So gave it a whirl and what do you know-works a fucking treat! Worked so well it outshone the already done wing and quarter by a mile, so re did them with the brasso then Meguirs How this side now looks
I love this car more than my silver one already, it sits so well, looks the bollox for hardly any mods and it almost seems to want to be saved.Keeps rewarding me by comeing up so clean and every area i check is in stonking condition
Also, found my full set of Genuine mudflaps the other day that i was gonna pop on the RS before i sold it. They are comeing up well with a clean
Just got to get the rest of it cut and polished now

well a quick little update, havnt got much done over the bank hol, been too busy sleeping and going out
striiped the rear to give it a proper clean and polish(nothing worse than seeing old polish stuck behind lights and bumpers) everything minty mint again as well
before
after
got the botlid polished up as well, and tried one of my old number plates on looks sweet but staying with yellow standard ones
Also got the rear Apex dampers on that came in the boot of the car
will do the fronts when i do the front brakes next
