Its all kicked up again!
My KKK turbo surges at 22psi so the only thing to do is fit a larger turbo.
So a few phone calls to Andy at AET meant a nice big GT30 would be sent on its way north.
Also I have gone back to internal wastegate.
Will be up and mapped for Crail this Sunday with somthing approaching 2 bar of boost.

Gone back to internal wastegate for no perticular reason but this turbo is capable of doing what I want it to do. It has a large ported turbine housing to help flow Nos. Its compresser side is good for 2.2 bar. So fingers crossed!

Bit of an update.
Went to dyno day at the weekend and it made 380bhp flywheel at 4600rpm then broke into wheel spin all the way to the 7k rev limit.
So under full accel it makes 380 at 26psi but as the boost and revs rise it looses traction on the rollers and spins, so unsure of the final power!
Very happy
So this year the ZVH engine has done 5 days at Crail, Ten of the best (8 times up the strip, 4 standing 1km, 5 laps handaling circuit) 2 days at Knockhill, 1 day at Croft, 1 day at Silverstone, 1 Dyno day, ran me to and from work on good dry days, lots of live mapping.
Plus the gearbox has now done over 10 000 miles of abuse in 2 seasons and still going strong fingers crossed.
Simon.

Time for the winter rebuild.
Here are some pics of it all coming to pieces.
Will do some more work to the head, replace all bearings, seals and gaskets. Also got a few more tweeks - watch this space!

Ants in my pants! kind of!!! More power to come.
There is always some improvements to make, and everytime you take it to bits you learn something new, so you can pass it into your customers.
Also it was starting to look untidy under the bonnet.

Thought I would post some proper pics of my inlet manifold.
It is built with 3.4mm rolled H15 Ali, 45mm inlet runners, fully opened up Ford adaptors/inter manifold modded for siemmns, 45mm rolled trumpets with a cossie throttle body on the end.

hi sas love the rs, do you know if the st170 box would bolt up to my cvh ? as i might be able to get my hands on one for Ł600, is that cheap, just thinking about this conversion bcos i`ve chewd up 3 bc box`s.. one of them had a quaife diff..

The 6 speed box will not bolt onto the CVH unless you redisign the sump for connection to the box also you need to bolt the starter on the rear, also you have to make a conection to the sump for the inter drive shaft and bearing. Its all possiable but cost and time restrictive.
Pay nearer Ł300

Yes it is a step backwards. Why throw away the best bit of the st170 and replace it with the worst bit of a cvh?

when making your inlet did you work out the size so the same volume of air goes into each cylinder?. ive seen inlets lik the 1 uv made and some the same size all the way across.
