not sure really, exhaust dont sound overly loud, but the last time i drove it, it had ITB's so couldnt even hear the exhaust..lol

i need a new exhaust as this one is sappying power, as i need a 2.5" core, where as this one is only 2"

so not running full power at the moment

little update on the donny track day first outing with supercharger

Overall it went ok

First session did about 4 laps but car felt funny so came in, little id i know, the lap I came in on I missed the lady give me a black flag

Was for noise

110 db..... Ouch

Was told I couldn't go back out unless I make a mechanical change, so I did parked it up for 10mins and just went out and kept the revs to 6000 ish

Only issues of the day was a front slick complete die on me, will get pics of how bad it was, and a bolt cone loose and jammed my clutch out

Other than that 142 miles trouble free, but the car dies fly when you use all revs, and in the wet in my wets I p*ssed over everything lol, and lapped lots of cars in a 30 min session

Did 6 wheel changes lol we were pretty quick by the end if the day

So just need it get a new exhaust now

no idea how i missed this but
looks fantastic can't wait to see some track footage too, surprised the standard 306 ecu can handle it but that's a bonus and saves a few pennies
cheers

Just out of intrest how much boost and what have you done to the std ecu so that it richens up in boost? i was going to go aftermarket but if the std ecu can be used then there seems little point?

the ecu is mapped for low boost by chip wizards and runs 4or 5psi from the supercharger

I don't know, as I've stated

But my previous conversation was 195 and this is considerably faster and this conversion. Is a constant 240-260

Plus as my video shows, it has over 200 easily as it wouldn't get to 60 in 4 seconds and 100 in 10

well not dont much as i got married last month, so proper skint..lol
still not sorted an exhaust yet,
been getting some quotes, but as no one can gaurantee it will be quiet I'm a little worried of spending so much
decided to add a light weigh to the car now
if anyone has some of the missing parts of the central dash i would happy purchase them off them

Lookin good spiky, you've had this a while now...nice to see it's evolution

I reckon a 2.5" exhaust is all that's needed, but for db levels you need a bigger silencer, OR add in another silencer! don't go making the exhaust smaller

Silencer design can be effective too, i.e. still retaining the flow of a 2.5" pipe but not giving the gasses (noise) a direct path out the tailpipe...have like a 5" pipe inside a box with something in the middle like a cone to spread the gasses outwards into the silencer but still having enough space round the cone for the gasses to flow...so no need for as big a silencer if it was just a straight tube...if that makes sense?

5 yrs is good for a track car

had a new exhaust made for the 205 today, 2.5" bore, with optional 3rd Silencer
just hoping now it's all ok,
what you think?

and the optional 3rd Box, if it's still a little loud

love it tho, credit to yer!

doubt youll be needing that 3rd silencer surely with the size of the other 2!?

I'd love another 205 track car. Dug out the pics of mine for a work pal the other night and got all nostalgic

Never had so much fun on 4 wheels in my life! And that was an almost standard 1.9 GTi!

they are a great car, even in basic form

about 500 for engine and ecu, i made my own loom (i also sell these to people)

exhaust modifiled

engine mount or exhaust manifold re angled (100)

thats about it really

it does add about 20kg's over the std engine, and people complain they dont handle the same, personnaly i think mine handle's fine
