Mark Mk sent me pics today of the front WRC beam and the Rear uprights (video) of them being tumbled ready for Anodising to match my front hubs...all very exciting. T45 tube on order for the lighter weight cage. I am having some longer front blades made for my bladed ARB at the same time to make the install neater where I had to mount the bar in a different place to normal.
Cradle is made and ready to go, just being modded to take my Supra diff.

I had some more update pics from Mark MK
My uprights for the rear hubs after they had been tumbled ready for colour. I think the Supra cover is for TimRS
Lower rear steer arms

What are people's thoughts on these
Low door bars for easier entry
I like the naked dash look and the bars going down to the tunnel. I would add a small kit car heater box.
Can't decide how stripped out to go, do I add back some carpet and dash?
I am ordering carbon Kevlar doors as they save 42 kilos!!!! Could not have them before as you need really good door bars in my opinion if you do away with metal doors.

I personally wouldn’t go too mental on lightweight panels and stripped out as you’ll end up creating something that’s awesome on track but you hate driving everywhere else. A full interior and a subtle cage would be my choice, had a stripped out car before and soon got bored of all the rattles and road noise lol.

Yes, I had a 911 track car and it was quite noisy in side.

Hi toby
Pick what you want a refind road car or out and out
Adrenaline car coz you cant have both in one car , it will
Only be 50% ,its not your everyday car so i would go full
on track and a weekend sunday blast and you will be happy
You see these cars that are all tricked up and try to be driven a lot on the road and people
Are not happy with them , unleash that 750 bhp
And have fun lol

it will be used 90% or more on the road but not as a daily driver. It has to be user friendly though to jump in and go have some fun...
Today I pulled the whole loom out and then labelled it all up and tidied it ready for re-fit. I found a few bodges so fixed those. The loom is very simple now as I do not need things like heated rear screen, rear wiper, rear wash wipe etc.
Jonfoc popped in and it was nice to put a face to the name.

Nice to see you too mate. Nice collection of toys you have. I can’t get over how small the 205 is. You’re mental (in a nice way) wanting all that power. I do want a go though

Yeah, I was trying to explain it to Mark just how small it is and how lots of things just will not fit.

Just watched the Grand Tour with the XJ220, that had 542bhp (they said 525) and weighs 1512 kg imagine shaving 500 kilos off that car and that is what my car is likely to be or more....bonkers

Hopefully your car will handle a bit better: I have always understood that the XJ220 is very hard work to drive!

The chap I know with 2 Maclaren F1's has had new wheels made in a bigger size as the tyres available for the original wheels were terrible.

Did make me chuckle that, in the wet, the XJ220 was only a couple of seconds faster round the track than an Up GTI!
That's an interesting point with regards to the McLaren F1, I was under the believe that the F1 had the whole package to suit it's speed. Still, I guess what might have been deemed a decent tyre then is seen as crap now!

Yeah. I thought that was a pretty good conclusion to The Grand Tour feature; although the XJ220 was an absolute missile in a straight line, even by today's standards, modern Supercars are as quick, but far more driveable.

After seeing how big and heavy the standard heater system / box was I opted for this kit car all in 1, it kicks out about 4.5 kw which is more than the standard car and is only 1.6 kilos and about 1/4 of the size which frees up a lot of space above the front of the tunnel. This will still take the cold air feed from the standard car inlet. I will have just the front panel poking out so will be neat and I can angle it to demist the front screen (which is heated anyway) or I can add a pipe to the bulkhead of it.

Yes, he says that the chassis can actually be quite scary at speed and his Porsche Carrera GT is a much better chassis. A few friends have driven the F1 and felt the same about it. The new tyres seemed to help and he is developing some Carbon brakes for it using Renault Formula 1 tech and a Lotus Exige as a test bed.

Mate, that is only a teeny tiny fraction of the cool stuff he owns. He lets loads of people drive them too, I have had a play on track with a Ł500k RS 993 911.
My friend in Egham has had a long term loan of the mac f1, then the Carrera gt and then an AMG black sls and a 959 porker plus a new P1 mac at the same time....he has loads of them

Looking good mate a question you said in another thread about 6 degree beam and supra diff better to attach diff first because of bolt access I had a clear out yesterday and had to move diff forgot how heavy it was how you lift beam and diff together?
#1871
10K+ Poster!!
What I found was that you can fit the beam as loose as possible on the front mounts, and just support its weight, it then hangs at enough of an angle to get to the diff bolts. You can then jack it up and tighten the front beam mounts.
It was a lot easier on the Ramps as I can lower the car on to the beam but the above would work on axle stands. Just be extra careful as the beam and diff make up a significant % of the rear end weight so the car could move a lot.

Probably one for Mark Shead to answer: does my EFR have the turbo speed sensor already installed? This Guage looks nice: https://www.full-race.com/store/borg...o-speed-gauge/

Thanks for the fast reply as always, would you recommend / see a benefit of having one? I like the idea of being able to indicate if you may have a boost leak (although unlikely) and we all love a spinny round gauge but I also want to keep it simple.

Is the speed sensor port fitted with a blank mark or does it need the final stage of drilling to fit the sensor?

I have been looking for ways to simplify the switchgear and controls, I have just bought this rf wireless control setup for the steering wheel and then a control module that will be recessed in to,the centre console, both of these have over 10 solid state relays that can then switch larger load relays, the control panel has 90 interchangeable pictures and each button push can be set to flash, momentary or latch on.
