Road Trip Complete
Started again this morning when i left Plymouth at 05:00 to drive the 270 miles to see Danny B @ Adrenaline Race and Performance and to get my new adjustable rear beam fitted.
Arrived at 08:15 and after a quick cuppa set to work removing the old rear beam.
Became quite obviously why it handled badly when the inner trailing arm pick up point poly bushes 'fell out' as soon as the bolts were removed They should be a nice tight fit ( ) but they had about 3mm of wear/play So anyone thinking of polybushing their trailing arms, don't bother
With the old beam stripped down we swapped the diff, shafts and hub carriers over onto the new beam.
Ready to start reassembly
With the beam refitted it was time to put the exhaust back on, and with it being a Magnex system we were expecting to have some issues with clearance, but was amazed to only have to do a slight modification to it
Beam on
Whilst fitting the beam we also fitted a set of solid beam mounts and my Billies.
The drive home was some what spoilt by torrential rain all the way but there is a noticable improvement already
So hopefully some dry weather and a change of wheels back to the Team Dynamics Pro Races with the Yoko Paradas should be fun
Further info here: http://www.adrenaline-race.com/forum...opic.php?t=530
So finally a big thanks to Danny and Kes
