Both rears built up now, got brake lines to go on but ive got a bit of rot in one of the floors that is getting sorted so I can finish running the lines around that area. If anyone ever asks the question powerflex or deflex take a look at this
These are the deflex fitted, thanks to stevenbm for pointing out that I still had the old bush casings still in the arms, just shows how shite a fit they really are.
I was sold these as powerflex which they clearly arent, got a refund and bought the real deal, there was no chance these would go in with the old casings present, very nice snug fit
I really wouldnt want the deflex on the back of my car after seeing the difference.
This is the engine bay at the moment, ive split the engine loom from the car loom and removed things like spot lamp wiring that I wont be using, reloomed the car loom now. Just building a seperate engine loom thats going to plug in through the bulkhead as im having the ecus inside the car now. Im sticking MFI as the car was spot on for me before I took it off the road, doesnt need any more power, just needs driving properly The carbon rocker is coming off as is the spec-r breather.
The paint has lasted well considering it hasnt been touched in 4 years
One more of the rear
Its not mint under there but its certainly mechanically strong and sound. Sills are split mint, the floor is just iffy where some tvvat has jacked it up in the wrong place.
Got some plastic windows to go in. Plan is to get the car running again, put a few hundred track miles on her back, iron out any issues then come winter take her back off the road and full weld in cage to go in and roof replaced with a carbon one. Id do it now but I just want to get it to a working stage without starting too many things and getting nothing done.
thanks for looking

engine is NMS stage 5 engine, im hoping with the new loom in and most sensors been new it should be reasonably reliable (the engine anyway) gearbox is just a rebuilt standard affair reckon around 260bhp

Its at the machine shop at the moment, having to get a few of the fins milled down to allow my reverse charge carrier to sit properly. Trouble with mates rates is that it takes forever to get things back! Picking it up monday and getting it coated then.

Been camping last week so couldnt get on the old girl. Cheers for the comments
got rocker cover back and just tried it with the reverse carrier, its close but alot more substanial than the carbon fibre one, was always shitting myself with the carbon incase it got scratched or damaged. Just a pic of how it will look
Off to get vapour blasted then coated, not sure on final colour but I reckon it will be black. Just waiting on mate to weld floor up then my new petrol tank can go in and I can finish clipping brake lines round. Had tank done riviera blue but havent any pics at moment. Know its dragging on but she will be done this year

Got it from NMS when I got the double cossie cooler, it came with mounting lugs either side but Ive took them off as I dont use them, the pipework keeps it more than in place, looks a bit neater. cheers

Got a few hours on it today, polished the header tank up as it was covered in 5 years of shit, fitted rocker with new rubber gasket, fitted charge carrier but a bit concerned about the step where it meets the throttle housing, its a smooth transition but it never used to be like that, it must be the rocker that is deeper than the carbon one was, reckon it should be okay though. Got my head round wiring loom now so just need to get cracked on with that. Got Bailey Oil breather to fit and get rid of that shite spec-r one.
looks a bot messy at moment but will soon come together, got some studs for turbo on way so once I get them can build all that back up and get radiator fitted and whatnot

tell me about it, its so close yet so far, back end is on underneath just needs torquing up, fuel tank putting back on then thats back done. Front end just needs turbo putting back on and rad re-fitting then either a new engine loom (mines only half built) or new management altogether. Not a lot of work really but I just get no time at all on it now, in fact if it was running I doubt Id have time to drive it. Really unsure this time, thought about it in past but its been easy to just leave it at the old mans place, now thats going Ive either got to get it running and use it or sell it. Id rent a lock up but Id be constantly shitting myself about it been broken in to etc, I work away all week and coming home to that wouldnt be fun. hmmmm, not sure.

When I took the carpet out the sound deadening underneath was soaking wet, a couple of years of that has took its toll on certain parts of the floor. Pics show it better. Weve got floor repair panels to go in that are full length of the car so should be a nice neat job when done, look much better than patching it up. Heres tonights work thanks to Charlie

Plenty of progress from Charlie this week, asked him to do a few custom bits too and he's made it look easy found a few suprises on the way but nothing worrying, just little patches here and there; she has been sat outside for 7 years without moving so pretty amazing really. Once jesus works his magic on the paint its in with a full new loom and get it down to NMS for cossie management and hopefully a setup and drive home!!! Probably a good while away yet but at least theres nothing in the way now, I can crack on and get it built.

looking that way! I just love the look of a clean minimal bay, as its going to be 99.9% track car I reckon I'll be able to live with having no heater.
