Lucky, even if it had dropped off, should still be a £30 fine each time it is round our way Looks good, but just not practical and gives the fuzz an excuse to pull ya all the time!

I didn't even know you had updated this, it's the first time I have seen the dash, I thought you had it done in crackle black at first, looks very nice. Like you say though, shame about the steering wheel, I have never liked them. What one you going for?

I too plan to not have a front plate, but I wouldn't dare to have my black one on the rear round here, I would be skint after a week with all the fines. I was going to have my white plate on the dash board and say it fell off while I was parked.

Have you had the car set up yet?

still waiting for the cooler mate so no point getting it setup yet. Goes alright on 7 pound though so im looking forward to 20+
police arent bad up here to be honest. Think im just gonna go for a 4 spoke rs wheel, nothing else would look right IMO.

I'm sorry but that dash is the bollox mate, well done, looks top, and very different too, which I like...

Not sure on the blower surround, I think maybe I wouldn't have it clear .... or are you covering it in carbon???.....but, be good to see it fitted all the same

the idea behind the cover is to use two square server fans instead of the original spaceship affair that goes at the back. Was gonna get a fusion one but again this car isnt about 'bling' really and I think they are still intrusive and make the engine bay look cramped/small. This way it serves a purpose but you can hardly see it. The carbon is for the glove box door as im not bothering with a glove box anymore and also for the top which ive made a removable cover for so I can store the mf2 underneath (easy access for setting up). Will get the heater fan fitted when the new gaskets/seals turn up from ford. If it looks crap when I fit it I'll probably stick something over it "bell end racing" or something. It cost me nothing so its worth a try.

thanks all, especially jason having a little trouble with the cover, sounds like the rocker gear is knocking on it, Marcus thinks its the baffle plate a little too low, havent had time to take it off and have a look yet but im sure it can be sorted.

Anyone fancy buying it? Ive driven it once in the past 2 weeks and I just cant be arsed with it, its took 2 years to get this far and its taken all the fun out of it, still waiting for parts to get it finished and I just havent got the time of day for the bloody thing, can safely say I'll never do anything like this to a car again

Just a final update really, dont get any time at all to use pf these days but a recent operation means im home bound for two weeks just thought id put up a few pics, no particular order really just some of my fave pics of car and a few sorry ones of how she looks now. All she needs is a good week of cleaning and mending and all will be well, its just finding that time

Ive regained my cool again now so the car is staying. Looked round it yesterday and cant wait to drive it again. Ive bought a R32 to keep me at bay from buying an evo or something daft, this way Ive got a decent car to knock about in, in comfort with no worries of will it start or wont it start and the s2 for summer fun. Plans for the s2 are :
1. sort underneath and rear out (probably fully adjustable rear)
2. mend ring damage
3. try sort engine loom out but if no luck rip it out and go cossie management
4. quick tidy in engie bay
5. enjoy plenty of track time

Looks

Its good to see it actually being used after a major re-build like yours As it would have been a waste to just use it for shows etc....

What damage did you do at the ring? Can't see any in the pics?

Cheers John, not sure on damage really, scuffed both drivers side alloys (luckily not bent!) which Ive just had refurbed and I think I bent the front shock absorber aswell, not sure, tracking is way out now, like cas and pont wheels! One facing cas the other facing pont! Also judders under braking which it never did (not warped disc judder a proper fuckin ell kind of judder) so I reckon on maybe rotor to disc bolts might be sheared. Thats all though so hopefully be up and running again soon. As you say though, would be a shame not to use it and use it I did, cant wait for the new year, not bothering to tax her again just strip and track for this old gal Is yours finished yet??? Not been on here for ages.

K3V HA, dash was £125 from central blast cleaning in banbury, they advertise in back of motorsport news.

Hi Stephen............least the damage is easily repairable No use on the road at all!! You gonna trailer it?

I've actually aborted the resto on the black car... I good mate of mine decided to sell up from RST's and get a bike so I could'nt miss the opprtunity to buy his (especially as it has only done 53k!!).

Just changing a few things here and there (i.e engine etc... ) to get it where I want it
