Work STILL in progress (s2) - back from paint...
John you have pm mate. Steering wheel wil be changed, although the mold on mine is quite stylish I thought.
The wheels are a pure white really and my diamond white is a yellowey blue tint, in the flesh it is obvious that the wheels are brighter but it doesnt look bad if you know what I mean. If I was to try and get the wheels done to suit the car it wouldnt look right IMO.
Damo, the loom was a total pain in the arse to do, once I started I wished I hadnt bothered. The old sensors were cut off to allow fitment of the braid, in sittuations where cutting the wire revealed it was corroded I replaced as much as I could if you know what I mean. Ideally I would have liked a new loom but for now it doesnt look too bad.
Ben, I could write for pages about Swillingotn Auto care and so could many others. Lets just keep it simple and say they are worth avoiding to put things politely.
Hopefully 2-3 weeks and she'll be running. cant wait to give her some first rate abuse.

Swillington Autocare are about as caring to "autos" as most american cars are to the environment.
The mapping work which they completed on my car (before I bought it) was shocking to say the least!!! If you dont know the first thing about mapping/MBE ECUs then dont map, thats what I say!!!
Feel free to write pages on their expert services

none of engine bay as it looks crap at the moment, need to do 1000 miles then get backwards carrier and new rocker cover so the old ones are on at the moment and there well old. Wont be long hopefully.

Are you happy with it?
I know what you mean about running in. When I had my shitty engine fitted last year, I just wanted it done and running proper power. I did 1000 miles and ran it in within a 5 days LOL.
It will be all the "little things" that end up making a big difference to the looks of it all. I don't blame you for not showing under your bonnet if you are not happy with it. I will be the same, as I know (apart from the paint lol) the engine bay will be abit cack looking.
I wouldn't mind swapping with you, because then I get a nice car to drive, and no labour bill from Damo

Ive done 400 miles in a week which isnt bad for me as I do about 1000 a week in my van so Im slightly fed up of been behind the wheel of slow vehicles, just want to take it to 7000 and enjoy it. When do you think yours will be done?

Dash isnt that shiney in real life, its black flock covering, it was very very sunny when I took that picture. Just need to get the door cards trimmed black (not flock though) and its nearly done, bar the lovely steering wheel.
the traffic police dont seem to bat an eyelid but the jumped up panda drivers love stopping me, my acting skills are getting great "no number plate??? It must have dropped off, it was there when I set off". There not so keen on the black and silver on the back either! No taste some people!
