Depends on the spec of the engine, and your current gearbox! You'll need to uprate the diff and clutch at least I would say...

RWD can be done, and has been done well many a time before, depends if you've got the time/money/skills (if your doing it yourself)

I say go for it, RWD rocks!

Ive done a couple of mk4 cabriolets, believe me its no weekend job and youve got to be willing to pay for this sort of work,

This is what mine looks like at the mo, 420bhp and rwd, the most fun you'll ever have!!!!!

They both run front end of cossie floor pan and custom built back end, but the bays look totally factory, which is what we aim for, dont like it when stuff looks homemade, gotta make it look original!!!

So its your car!! I thought you might turn up sooner or later.

I was stood there for FUCKING AGES when i saw it at the FordFair trying to figure out what had been done to it, as i was approaching i thought thats a nice cabby, then looked under the bonnet and was like WTF cossie am i lookin at right car here??? I couldn't see a single weld mark that didn't look factory but obviously i could tell it had all the cossie strut tops etc. Fucking fairplay to you mate you made a MINT job of it

Yeah it did seem to turn a few heads at the show when people realised what it was. We like to make all our cars look original! Having the car repainted at the moment and changed the wheels, will put some pictures up of the new look soon.

PS, got some mental cars in the pipeline for this years shows, If you thought the cabbies nice you'll love these!!!!
