Well of course they can jump, how else are they going to do what they were bred for....biting the top lip of a bull to bring it down / stop it. QI is awesome!

I was being sarcastic. I have a lot of bulldogs breed them, show them there my life. The history of bulldogs fascinates me.

There more what they use to look like just before the Edwardian times. The Edwardians crossed them with pugs to bring the size down for showing and really fooked them up in every way.

That's why i don't agree with the kennel club. Dogs are so far away from what they used to be just for the KC standards. And they inbreed, not healthy.

A credit to you John, some of the best Bulldogs I've ever seen. I prefer even less exaggeration myself but I like this type, their conformation looks very 'functional'.

Thank you mate and you Carlo. You don't find many what will walk and run 8 miles. Do this 3 times a week with them they love it. Other 4 days are made up of 4 mile walks. Fed on a BARF diet.

All of the dogs above are stunning.
I go to a club called little snorters with my French Bulldog x pug (I know you don't love pugs!) but she is lean and healthy compared to a lot of the "pure bred" Frenchies and can run rings round them.
As for the Bulldogs. So many are so fat that they can't be arsed to walk never mind run. One lady has one that looks like yours and people ask if its a cross breed! But it is just fit and is a nicer dog for it.
