they are big and heavy, but they are an all alloy engine, so maybe not as bed as if it was all cast iron, and it had to be set back well to fit in the engine bay, will see how it handles in the next video

that bit was easy, just gave mark_wiring (cossie4i's brother) the wiring diagram and let him do his magic, fired first time, although we did have to get a remapped ecu from america to bypass the alarm system.

There are at least 2 nuts missing from that car.

They're on the outside planning the next insane project.

Just because it's not a good idea doesn't mean it shouldn't be done.

you'll be ok steve, a few takeoffs at full power will eat the 7.5 diff, and as u know, we don't know how much power they mapped in with the ecu remap, rolling road is needed to to get an idea of the power, but the touque curve should be like a cliff face.

I have just asked if any space is available at the RR Day on the RSOC site.

http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/rsocbb...=366708&page=4

I hope the link works

Impressive interesting to see the power it does and how it drives compared to a big spec cosworth just curious but how much did it cost roughly for the conversion

i had the engine laying around from my kit car, but engine owed me about Ł7k with remapped ecu and the t56 gearbox, and that includes the original shipping from america, should be pushing upwards of 550hp, and upwards of 600lb/ft, the power is 90 in by 1500rpm though, and it should pull the .5 6th gear, the viper srt-10 that this gen3 engine comes from will pull the last 20mph to its top speed of 195 in 6th, thats what u call power, the conversion was done by a friend who liked the idea, its his car and was running a 541hp cosworth, its a joint venture, next project in the pipeline and will make this car look slow, more details of that later in the year.

Yes so i did work out the wiring on it and get it running with the aid of a new ecu shipped from DC Performance in the USA 2nd pair of O2 sensors deleted skip shift solenoid deleted so you can use all the gears even if your not giving it large and cat delete. It had a more aggressive fuel and spark map(what ever that ment) loaded in so it should be more powerful than std.

As for getting my finger out I have just over a month to get it done but i have to argue with Chris first as i know he just wants it so it works and i want it so it looks nice and works lol.

I should get the O2 sensors working later on today, if Chris drops me in the disc with the wiring diagram, so i can look at that while I sit here and wait for fedex

I will tell him he has no choice he has to get it onto the rollers or i just won't finish off the wiring

why has chris got the wiring diagram, thought u had that, what happened to the disc i bought for u, it will be going to the rollers to see what power its got and what sort of cliff face or a touque curve/line it has, i can't wait, need to know if the sheppy rollers go high enough for next project or the full blown mental power project after that

Fair play for getting it in there I can't help thinking the engine is wasted in that car though, I'd have chosen something with a better chassis but each to their own .
