Default My slammed Mk1.5 Focus estate now on the 16X8 TH's!

Posted a thread up in the projects section. Thought it would be worth a post here now it's lowered om my 16 x 8 et25 comp TH's.
It's dropped. Not mega dropped but looks lovely and still drives well.
Only chopped a coil off the rears.
So would presume it's dropped 55mm all round.

Even fitted my Cheshire Rsoc stickers.

Love it. Looking forward to seeing it painted.
Gonna tint the tailgate window and mod the rear lights. Add some new ice and it's about done.

Looks nice mate. I love angle grinder spec springs but there are many haters out there!

My old daily sierra had 2.5 coils cut off front and rear looked proper sweet.

Really couldn't give a sh*t about the haters. Sometimes the grinder is the only way.
I bought some lowering springs. Lowest possible, 55mm f, 40mm r. Just chopped one off the rears to level it out.
I could go alot lower tbh but I wanna use this daily and be able to load it up.
I think it's sat about right, one the paintworks sorted it'll look spot on.
It makes a change to see something different.

Didn't take long to start modding mate.

Did you find someone who can paint the car?

Very nice car!

I also chopped 1 ring off the front springs of my Focus to get a nicer look, I found it a bit too high in the front.

Also some modding at the rear lights (before the colourcoded bumper inserts):

Smoked the indicators and reverse lights, fitted an UK rear unit to get double reverse lights and modified 1 brake light that also has the extra function for fog light!

Looks great.

YBJ, how did you go about smoking your rear lights... since I'm thinking about doing something very similar to my Mondeo.

Cheers,

Nice... very nice. I'd murder for a set of those wheels.... rarer than a virgin in Las Vegas, here in BC.... and the very few sets that are here are the genuine magnesium race wheels, which the owners will never sell or want thousands for.

I use Motip 'Blacklight' and give them 2 light sprays. That's all. Gives a factory look.

One of my friends gloss black painted ST170 xenons keeps fogging up, we cannot work out why we have tried resealing it a few times, there is a thick even bead of seal right round the egde which has baffled us !

I've got some light tint spray sat here ready to mod the lights.
Just can't be bothered as the weather is cr*p ATM.
I'll be tinting the indicators black.
And the reverse light will be going red.
Also wanna take the focus badge off, spray it black and move it down a fraction to cover a deep scratch. Don't wanna paint the boot lid, it's mint bar the scratch.
And it ain't ment to be a show car, just a squeaky clean daily lol.

NO!

cut springs have less tension than origional, also the spring has been "modified" so would fail UK MOT

i have cut several springs in my younger days, easy
