Default Mates new Evo 9 GT

After convincing my mate to get a Evo after I got mine, he finally gave in.
Nice trip to Norwich at AP Tuning, the deal was done.

Good choice, the 9GT is the best driving EVO I've ever had, superb machine and will easily run 400/400 if you want to do some minor tuning.

9GT has LSD's instead of sayc, quick rack, different turbo, 5 speed, its the base car they used for the group N rally cars but they have a decent spec as standard - aircon, nice seats, elec windows/locking.

Looks great!!

Are the servicing intervals a bit more sensible on an E9 GT given that there isn't any AYC stuff to service??

Cheers,
Grant

He loves the car running stage 1 mods 410bhp/400lbft. He wishes he changed a long time ago. Well looked after car, bought from Ross Sport, with Apt giving it the right attention
Power delivery is very simular to my 6. running 400bhp

Nothing drastically saved on servicing, but to be honest I really do not mind the 4k intervals.

Bit of an upgrade over the SC Fez. Not a bad bit of kit.

Can't really blame him, he took it to the limit as far as bolt-on's are concerned.

It would have been ridiculous to go the full forged route etc on it. Stopped in the right place.

Whats the Tax/Insurance/Running Costs for one of these like?

I think he got to 330bhp and started having issues with the tuner. At one stage he was going to go silly on it, not that he didnt already. lol

Insurance depends on postcode, point etc, and previous history. Running cost are reasonable at the end of the day its a performance car so wont be cheap. should'nt be much different for him, but more to run escpecially on the fuel and servicing side of things.

Im 25 and pay £1000 on the 6, ive also got points and all mods declared, think he is paying simular also same age as me.
