Default Drifting @ Teesside Autodrome - Pics

Went with glenn and blacky today to watch the drifting. ade the fast ford snapper was there drifting his saff, so was good to catch up with him, and beefy and jacko turned up, so as usual, good to have a chinwag with them also. actually quite enjoyed it, not usually in the jap/drift thing, but it made a change.

Few pics

All the pics i took

had a great day down yesterday,it was my son in the white left hooker xr4i for a standard 2.8 v6 he was doing well untill it snapped both engine mounts...but my son reckons youre not trying hard enough if you don't break anything
i thought he would struggle with only 150 bhp but he proved me wrong yet again...

thanks to dave and all at teeside for a great day had by all...

Crackin' day out, and good to see all the boys coming along as well!

Yeah, it's a bloody nightmare trying to fit all those wheels in the Saph!
Hopefully will be getting a trailer in the not too distant future though.

Yeah, 3dr rims on in the pix above... (shows how skinny they are when you see the Wellers on!).

First set from a mate, second from ebay. Stupid rare though so getting a set banded is your best bet. About Ł200 should get a pro job done on wheels you supply.

You can get Ford fitting steels up to 17", so plenty options out there.

Ł250-400 for a set of 15x8 Wellers depending on condition and your luck!

http://www.bandedsteels.com/ or the guy on the Retro Rides forum is easier though.

The centre bore is too big, but Pug/Citroen steels are the only standard ones worth considering running as they have a decent offset. Should clear no probs.

Its never too good for drifting , its a little rough round the edges but a solid car none the less... It will be used and abused at every teesside drift day this year so expect to see more of it...maybe even with my 24v under the bonnet soon

Rob - i need a set of solid mounts asap, is there anywhere i can just buy them? i ideally want them fitted within two weeks from now so its ready for march
