my new Evo 6
hello all after owning a evo 3, evo 4, im now the proud owner of craigs old evo 6 :smthumbup i wanted a evo 5 as i prefer the front spoilers but after looking at a coulpe i struggled to find a good one the stats are
77,000 miles
hks induction kit
blitz bov
magnex 3" downpipe
decat
blitz nur spec cat back system
uprated fuel pump
hks hardpipe kit
gizmo boost controller
mapped by evotune running 1.7 bar (est 380bhp)
tein springs
4 new tyres
exedy clutch
cobra alarm immobiliser
and a few pics i will get some better ones up soon
theres a couple of issues but craig told me about them b4 i went to see her one is the underneath wants a good clean and undersealing and there is a noise as you turn left that deff sounds like the trasferbox bolts but nothing i cant do myself:smthumbup as some of you might now i built my last evo 6 engine and put it in my e4 to a very high standard
my lovely e4 engine looking very clean
this car went to ralf off here and he came all the way from germany to buy and drive it all the way home, i might upset a few peeps off here when i say i prefer the way the Evo 4 handles and drives to my Evo 6 i also prefer the evo 4 recaro seats as they hug you more!! this black e4 was gums old car off here.. i dont now why i just feel very attahed to it even tho it has gone
Onto new things now my E6 drives very nice and the motor pulls like a train as jamie @ evotune did the mapping!! the only other thing thats driving me mad is the blitz exhaust..to loud.. if anyone has a quieter one they would like to swop please pm me, i just dont like the drown this exhaust make:wallbang:
and the blitz d/v will also go for a OEM evo 9 one as everyone nows re-circulating are 100% the best for tick over, ive just bought evoscan and im going to get the cable as the ticks a tad high and the stepper needs parking to get the rpm correct

Loving looking car,
I'm shortly going to be looking for an evo 5, but having never had anything other than fords, i on't know a thing about them.
Could you give me some pointers? i know if they aren't under sealed to check rear suspension mounts and above the rear box and to listen for AYC noises! but thats it!!

alot of people will tell you that the 3 best evo,s for looks are evo.4,5,6, i personally dont like the evo x.. this is the forst car ive had with electronic boost control the gizzmo!! its set to 0.66bar, 1.0 bar, 1.5 bar and 1.68 bar and you can do this on the move, at nearly 1.7 bar it flys and just doesent stop pulling!! but then jamie @ evo tune who mapped it is the stu of the evo world

Looks really nice mate, bet it flies with circa 380bhp!
I really like the look of the evo 6, I've had a few but always end up back in an impreza after. I've really tried to fall for them but I never get loved up.

Looks really nice that does M8
Love the older Evo's and if i were to buy another (used to have an Evo VII RSII FQ) it would be either a V RS or a VI RSII
Any further plans for it?

at 380bhp im on the edge as standard rods are known to bend around the 400bhp mark but there is plenty of people running well over 400bhp on standard internals without any issues yet!! i really need to go to simon norris and get one of his rod jobs but at 1500 quid it ant cheap but with the e6 pistons and norris rods the pistons will see well over 500bhp!! and standard cranks have been tested to well over 800bhp... to be honest 380bhp feels a tad to much for me on the road and really would be better on the track, its been mapped with pops and bangs and im not to keen on that..lol.. scares people to bits..
