xr2i first wash!
after getting my xr2i home it needed a really good detailing. as all the panels other than the doors were pinkish.
so i begged my other half to have a go and clean her up a bit.
and im really happy with the results! even tho its only had a clay baring and a megs strage 1.
still needs a polish and a wax
been told ive got to keep her clean now.
what do you think? and we didnt find any major suprises,
you can see the pinky bits
other half with the clay bar
you can see the polish line!

Come up well yeah
Only problem with red on older cars is that it fades, especially on the plastics, but keep it clean and it will prolong that happening

Looking well after a wash!
I agree, the mirrors really need to go, but I think you said in your other thread that they would be being changed. I hope you are happy with the car... .had mine 8 years now and for a daily driver she's a stunner!

yep as soon as i got the car i did say the mirrors have to go lol just got to find some now! i can not see anything out of them
and im loving the car i have always wanted one from i was a teenager and i have finaly got one! i just got a few things i need to get done on it i think the lower arms need doing as every bump the car goes everywhere and makes a noise so will need to get hold of a set for it and then fit them.
does anyone know the best place to get parts like the lower arms??
ebay want a bit for them when i had a look.
i thought they would be cheaper than that.
thanks for all the comments

Search around your local motorist discount shops, I think I usually pay around £25 or so for a pair. Common fault that they wear out, I always need at least one a year for the MOT. I even shelled out for a pair from Ford one year, but they still needed replacing 12 months later so the non-genuine are a more economic buy.
