My Track Day at Oulton Park...
I did my first ever track day yesterday at Oulton Park and really enjoyed it, its true what they say about not needing a high powered car to enjoy it andi was impressed with how the car did. I think i am hooked now and already looking to do another one lol. Oulton Park is such a fantastic circuit, it was very wet yesterday but that made for an interesting day...
Anyway here is some pics of me on track in my GTi...
Comments welcome

Not been on track but Oulton is really nice.
Ive never thought it worth going on track before with a 2.0 n/a.
Is it fun? Do you go on with a bunch of other people and just do what you want?
Do you need special insurance?
I really want to go on the little drift track at Oulton. Maybe ill book it when these tyres are knackered!

Thanks for the comments
Cheers mate, its an Evotech front bumper...
I would highly recommend it. Oulton is a great circuit to drive...
I used to think the same as you. My car is only a 1.8 and i used to think is it worth it but yes it is, it doesnt matter what engine you have really as it isnt a race and you go at your own pace and enjoy your own car...
As for is it fun? Yes lots, i really enjoyed it. You are out there with other people, this was a Novice day but i was out there with people in Escort Cossie's, Porsche's, Westfields, Caterhams etc but you just simply move over if a faster car wants to come past and people do the same for yourself if you're approaching. Regarding insurance, Oulton Park doesnt require you to have any track insurance but you can take some out if you wish. Im not sure if this the same for all circuits...
But overall i would deffo recommend it to you. Hope that helps you, i sound like im on commision for Oulton Park
