WTF!!!! In less than 6 months you've rebuilt it twice from a state that most of us would find impossible to do in 2 years!!!!

To be honest this car needs you to finish it, MOT it, TAX it, enjoy it for a small while.

Meantime am sure a Mag feature crop up..

If you sell now the car will not be the same.

A mag feature would be immense, always been my dream.

Just dont know if the cars good enough? I mean its a hell of a story, but dont know if id like to put my name to the car?

Ive been bombarded with emails last night already asking me how much the car is etc.

After a nights sleep I realise no matter what happens, I have to MOT it.

No worries, sorry to waffle on a bit, but hopefully gave you enough info to get an idea!

Been stripping the paint off the bonnet this moring and also preping it and just gave it a coat of primer.

My mrs just came out and suggested maybe i should break the car rather than try and sell it?

Hadnt thought of that, could sell it as a complete car less engine and loom and ideal for some one to whack in a RST lump. And also then sell the engine and all its bits as one unit.

Ive spent over Ł1000 alone just rebuilding the engine!

I told her I think if im gna put it up for sale Im loosing like Ł2500 but Just gona have to swallow that i think if i go this route?

Having second thoughts now. I did this this afternoon.

Then sat in the drivers seat holding the 4 spoke wheel and came over all soppy. Just had a thought....how nice it would be to drive it round the village, and just have that proud feeling of "look how far you (the car) and I have been through

not knocking your painting (as it loads better than mine!), but have you thought about flatting/polishing it up before you fit it up as its looks really orange peely/flat. Or are you in a rush to get it together?

Please dont sell or break her Lee....... The effort and work that you have put into her would be heart breaking to pull her to bits to sell or even sell her how she is.

As you say mate..... Sitting back holding onto the 4 spoke steering wheel in such a rare and fantastic car, well that would conclude any doubts of selling or breaking her to be erased!

Once again mate, thank you for your help on doing my roof. Gave it a polish last night, its come up like new! I manged to get the car Ł125 cheaper because of the roof, cost in materials to do the roof Ł36......nice little saving there

No not had a chance flat out with work, done 2 days work in a day today!

Will have tommrow morning off to spend a bit of time on it........Polishing the ...uhhh hummmm......paint before puting on the decals.

As for running, Im probably gna try in vain to test for 12+ on the coil, then if no luck will have to pay someone to take a look as I REALLY dont know how to test and repair the broken link, where ever that is.

My guess is the coils i bought of off a guy Seriesoneturbo forum are actually duff ones

Or the loom side of my sensor wire, i havnt repaired properly?

Or the ecu,

or maybe im just not getting alive feed to the coils in the 1st place

Im not sure, one more thing on the check list.

Its sitting well home and held buy the proper black metal sensor wire/gbox cover with the rubber spacer on it, so I assume so? Ill have to check the workshop manual for the correct gap and measure it!

Right just been out and given the front end a mop, havnt gone too crazy as the paint on bonnet is only 24hrs old!

Please excuse the white "mopping overspray" on the plastic and wheels. I look like a spoty albino also covered in the stuff

Im generally pleased with the finish, obviously its not perfect, but then I never wanted that from the start. The idea has always been do have a smart tidy car, but one that you can use with out fearing a stone chip or dirt in the wheel arches!

I couldnt resist pulling out these bad boys

The gap between the bonnet edge and decal I have done at 10mm, I cant remember if this is correct or not, but i got carried away in the excitment

Starting to look like she did 5 weeks ago /

Im still thinking about teh scrap yard, its not safe yet

The car is booked in to the auto electrictian on monday.

I know its the easy way out, but the time i spend fucking around and still not getting anywhere and just more pissed off with the car. I may as well go earn the money and pay a professional to do it in half the time and do it right!

Good news is tho, this weekend im giving the car the once over.

Providing Lee (Reynolds) can kindly sort me out on the clutch cable in time. The car should be back wednesday next week, running ...............and therefore MOT ready!!!!!

So potentially the car could be on the road one week from now!
