Red - My new purchase is hidden away and won't be coming out for a while. I'm having family problems, sadly. I had a little nose and I tried everything to look through the LCD when I take a picture. Apparently I can't? This makes no sense.

I don't think the D60 comes with Live view, you'd need a higher speced camera for that.

You'll have to look through the viewfinder.

This is what I don't understand. Higher spec? My old cheap camera has live view.

You can't really compare your old camera to your new one, the differences are great.

Live view is a new thing to dslr's, tradionally and with great effect I might add it's all done through the viewfinder. Give it a go you might just like it.

Matt - Like the first photo of the Aston, not surewhat to suggest thoughas im crap at car photography I've driven one of those Astons before... very very nice, the instant throttle response was what impressed me most... the brakes were a suprisingly poor too!

Benni - As Matt says the D60 doesn't come with live view, meaning you have to use the viewfinder to compose your photo and not the LCD screen... once you get used to it you honestly wont want to go back to using an LCD screen to take your photos with.

Can I ask what you all think of this? I am considering swapping my D60 for it as it has live view.

Personally I think if you cant get your head around not having liveview then maybe a DSLR camera is not what you want/need and that you may be better of going for a decent point and shoot camera. The only time you really look at the screen is when youre changing settings or reviewing photos you have just taken.

I just think it's easier to look at the screen, even more so when on a tripod?

some of them are not bad, i have to say, but i do think theyd have been better taken with a better camera.

Although for Ł350 i wasnt going to complain, its a highly capable camera, but i think the quality is better with Nikon/Canon

Stephen, great panning shots first one may be a bit too extreme of an angle for me personally though, i find myself tilting my head when looking! haha!

Red, nice shots of the dog.

CC, correct white balance would have made that shot better for me, upping the ISO would have given you a faster shutter speed helping to reduce the blur. I mean this constructively, not having a dig

Got some more exotica to shoot in the next week or so, i can't wait!

Its too extreme for me aswell! Ive never been fond of the angle'd shots but I was just bored and though what the hell, wasnt expecting such a small ammount of tilt to have such a sea sick affect!!!
Very nice set of the bike, are these in a studio?? Love the reflections in the first and altogether they would make a great montage. What do you have in store for this week or do we have to wait
cheers

Cheers, i tried to keep some consistancy with the shots throughout the set.
Shot in a studio of sorts, bit of post work to remove all traces of the scene.

I've got a 911 Carrera Turbo to shoot this week, hopefully weds night. and in the next week or so a Ferrari 360 & High spec Range rover. Then i'm working in coventry transport museum with free roam out of hours, they've got the thrust cars there and i'll definately be attacking those along with a few other choice examples... Can't wait!
