here are a few pics of my harvey gibbs escort bonus.

all running gear & most body parts were removed from a 90'spec rs turbo that i brought but the shell had seen betta days so i reshelled it into a 1.3 escort bonus shell (cheap tax/insurance).

cheers lads,no im not keeping as a 1.3 ,its off road now till the summer next year im declaring everything and i will insure it as a turbo,ive put to much time and effort in to it to register it as a 1.3 if it gets nicked i will not get a quid for it

shocked a few cocky little knobs in there hairdressers cars . its great fun and well worth all the time and effort when you see the end result,well nearly the end eany way few little bits left to do tho .i got some 92 spec cossie wheels today off a mate they will be powder coated anthercite and put on soon,turbo bonnet will be painted soon aswell then its going to ATP to be set up Also got a 4" mongoose on the way a we speak from danvisteon and an ACT gauge from mike rainbird

Cheers dude, 30k from new!!! I think if i'm gonna do it i'll buy a scrap RS and just transfer everything, bit by bit.

 

my advise on building a stealth turbo would be keep it as stealth as possible!

as u can see in my pic the car had :
standard bumpers
orange indicators
standard rear lights
90'spec recaros with the centres coverd in the bonus materieal
e/w, c/l, & the standard mirrors converted 2 electric (bonus door cards)
14' steel wheels wiv trims!!
cut a few coils off...
& the rest was put into the engine bay.......
it did have a 4 inch stainless which gave the game away but i wanted 2 convert it 2 a side exit & weld a standard backbox to the rear....


but like rob says if u have spent so much time on the car u do want it 2 look sumthing nice & see ur money in it at the end of the day.

i just built my 1 cos i wwas bored & had the parts laying about!

since thenn i did build this car but have now sold it.

Ya should put a big stainless side exit on, and bolt on a 1.3 backbox. Put matt finish bumpers, paint the intercooler black, and mondeo 15" steelies with wheel trims.

Proper sleeper then. LOL.

Anyway proper nice car m8, looks a right laugh.!!!
