Thanks.

Just a quickie to mention i did all the work on the car myself. I have learned a lot from doing it and am really chuffed with the way it has come out.

Im training to be a driving instructor and will be sitting my part 3 test soon, so once i pass that i may give the TDci to my Girlfriend and get a Focus RS as a wee toy for me.

Would have had an RS now, but she lives 50 miles away from me so need something economical just now.

Yay!

I convinced myself the new focus was better, then you go and post this. I wish I had not seen this now. Makes my "Newer" model look boring and plane. Your car is my favourite focus at the moment. It looks so modded, yet so standard. It's lovely, exactly how I would have a mk1.5 focus.

Welcome to the forum also mate, I am sure this is a thread that will interest you allot. Also, can I ask who color coded it? No offence to most but the color is always off, on yours I had to look close to see the strips where still there it's spot on.

Thank you all very much for your kind comments. I didnt expect that. I did all the colour coding myself in my garage. The exterior is pretty much finished now apart from de tango rear lights. Im looking to get a few performance goodies and brakes but the tdci doesnt take to well to power mods and i think 150bhp is about the limit it can take without spending big bucks which im not prepared to do. Tbh its quick enough for what i need it for and no point making it super fast if im getting an rs soon. One thing i have noticed though is since i have had it chipped, it runs like a bag of bolts on normal diesel. Need to put im that bp ultimate diesel. It likes expensive juice.

I honestly wouldn't do anything else to it mate, I think it looks perfect as it is. However, I do agree the De-tango rear lights will finish it off. I can imagine it keeps up with most things in the real world, and there won't be much you can do to it, which will make it anything on your RS when you get it, so no point.

You did an amazing job of the color coding, Benni.

the de-tangoed rear lights all depends whether i can find a set of clear rear lamps for the focus. On my ex's Ka, we got a set of clears and sprayed them red, apart from the indicator bit and it worked really well. I dont know if it would look on the focus though. I tried smoking the indicator bit the other day to match the wheels and grille but it looked pish so i put a set of standards back on the car........

How im wanting the lights to turn out like on my ex'x ka

That's one hell of a transformation. I'm not usually that keen on red, but your car looks smart. Well done

Looks great fella, subtle touches is the way to go. Just one thing though, it may be the angle in some of the pics but it may look better if the rear sat a bit lower? Thats only me being picky though
