prob be ok but very limited for accesories and spares will be expensive..the landrover takes some beating and the spares are as cheap as chips..readily available from most breakers

i get most of my new spares from here http://www.paddockspares.com/

eg brake pads under £20 for a full set

Discos rot like hell in the boot floor due to trapped water, rear chassis rails and sills round the rear doors can go as well.

Not the mk1 disco, its the new disco 3.
1st vid shows other 4x4s trying to get up this hill. note the defender having a go at it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-zbq9AOvBU
poor guy with the red truck at the end

The end of this vid shows the disco3 trying the same hill as well.
Angle at the start is 43degs and goes to over 50 for a part
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STt7DmJeeVc

offroading is superb!

Kev, there was a mk1 bobtailed disco with full external roll cage in LRM a few months ago, full feature on it. the guy was selling if for £17,500! ill go look for what month its in. might give you ideas/help

You lot a Animals look @ the state of them Disco's

Those wheels are only 7j but still a good price @ £80 each Shame i cant aford them

On anther note i have removed most bits under the disco to replace the gearbox nxt saturday
Only bits i can see that need to come off are the Cats, speedo cable and revering lights wires (forgot about them when i was under the bloody thing ) , Top hose Then starter gearbox mounts and bell housing bolts
Hopfully the fucking thing will then come out (im hoping )

might be best to split the transfer box off the gearbox alan..only 6 bolts holding it on and it weighs as much as a normal box on its own

i might have someone to buy a set of those wheels if he wants to sell them......

and what you mean animals..they are just getting used properly mine was road leagal till a few weeks ago..its actually still got 6 months mot and tax...recon i could be on police camera action if i drove it on road tho

davie....trying to get the bobtail done this month before i get busy....
