Default OFFROADING..LOADS OF PICS...INCLUDING ROLLOVERS!!!

im bored tonight so thought i would put up some pics from our offroading carry ons from the last year....
first up nikis dicovery tipped over at 4pm this afternoon



he,s a stange one...happy as a pig in shit sitting in all that smashed glass ....landrover cupholders work a treat....

my disco....after an incident last weekend

some from a trip we did ove a 25 mile military pass in the scottish highlands in october
we tried it in january but it was impassible then

looks amazing! i was ment to go this morning, but couldnt get hold of the farmer so we couldn't go on his fields

no probs dave....i,v got winches front and rear and a thing called a ground anchor which is the bar you see on the front...there is a large spade/blade attatches to it and when the winch pulls it sinks into the ground and you have an anchor point

gareth...

dave....we had a guy out with a Ł500 range rover today who does track stuff..bog standard with no locking diffs and he said....feck me this is better fun than the track...and i have to agree...had more fun in my landrover this year than anything else i have had

i like doing track stuff but lost interest as you spend half the day queing and not enough driving.....plus offroading is mucho cheaper...and i am scottish

looks like you were having fun lol, just sold my old beast butch dingle will miss the old disco was a good fun

also found this personal carrier on it's side pmsl


proper hard the 360 only took the plastic coating off the paintwork

because the feckin suzuki was never out the workshop in the last month i owned it i bent two axles and blew 2 transfer boxes they seem ok until you fit 33" tyres then its game over for them

this is the best offroader in my gang, 4.6 derv nissan patrol! its a bit big, and a bit heavy, but it NEVER breaks

good to see you have bought a proper offroader
i do abit of greenlaning now and then with friends, nothing too serious.
thinking about getting a series 1 discoverey and jacking it up/big tyres etc to do more of that type of stuff

plenty lol got sick of blowing diffs myself always somthing to do
put a 4 pin in and it's been fine ever since now it's butchs turn to mend it

Looks like a good laugh. We had an old lhd v8 RR on knoblies that we ragged round some spare ground but ive never tried it properly.

99% of the lanes we ride are not exactly legal
But on a bike they,ve got no chance of catching you but it,s a different story in a car

gareth..you being a techy chap i would have expected you to know ..maybe its just got a center difflock

james...3 doors done with my ecsorts old engine in it..some pics here on stus new forum http://fordrsforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=217

badnews..thats the only prob is landrover diffs/shafts and cv,s are chocolate as standard...mine had a detroit locker in the back and detroit truetrak in the front when i bought it...then i fitted a set of ashcroft shafts and cv,s and its been bomb proof for the last 6 months...and it gets some abuse every weekend

broke the crownwheel and pinion or the detroit itself?....if he broke the detroit..well done

its actually the shock loading on the tranny parts that break shafts etc from wheelspinning then suddenly getting a grip on something....not really to do with power
