Two videos taken from my ZT Fiesta yesterday
Since the weather was so amazing yesterday I decided to get the ZT out, and to stick the camcorder in as I was going to drive a road I haven't filmed before. I used the in-car and headlight mounts, so it gives some variation to the video
I chopped down the 20 minutes or so to two videos - Part 1 is about 4min 40s, Part 2 is about 3min 40s. Part 2 includes an incident with a white van that nearly got quite messy. I had been watching the road ahead, and saw a red Land Rover doing about 40-50mph, judged my overtake, and as I pulled out, the van veered wayyyy over the white line and almost squashed me to the kerb. It was going to be a fairly finely-judged overtake anyway, but he made it that bit more exciting! The camcorder was headlight-mounted at the time, so it gave a close shot of what happened. A car's handling and performance can be predicted, another road user cannot!
So, here is Part 1. 44Mb, DivX format, Right Click and "Save Target As" to download it. Huge thanks to Smo, once again, for downloading and hosting it himself!

Where did you get 1.44mbs from? part one is 44.3mbs, part 2 is 9.38mbs
The first one was fine but the 2nd was only 43 seconds long and not much happend
The first one was great though, have to turn my volume down when the shot changes to the headlight cam
Great view though and sound

Read it again matey. Part 1 is 44Mb, Part 2 is around 37Mb and 3min 30s long, try downloading again perhaps?
I didn't adjust the sound too well in Part 1 - you're right, the sound level's much higher from the headlight cam...I corrected that in Part 2

True, white van man either had terrible observation skills or really didn't want me to pass. Either way, my overtake could've been considered to be dangerous. I'd been watching the red Land Rover all the way down the road leading to the right hand corner where I overtook the van, and decided I had enough room - I've overtaken there a lot as I've been driving this road about twice a week for five years or so and know what can be done. I can't claim none of it was my fault - obviously if I hadn't overtaken him it wouldn't have happened, but I was having fun and chose to do it

rs nutter - true, but it's usually nice to have more than 20cm each side of the car when you're overtaking!
FiestaSuperSport - A bit of a run down:
1.8 16v Zetec Turbo using Garrett T3
CTS Stage 1 gearbox
AP 4 paddle clutch kit
Radtec front-mount intercooler/radiator with twin Spal fans
Wilwood Billet Dynalite 4 pot front calipers with 285mm discs
Escort RS2000 rear discs/calipers
Gaz coilovers
FRST OFAC ECU live mapped by MSD, running 15psi max boost.
There's a twenty-something page long thread on the car here if you're itnerested: http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=93689

Heeman do you find the GTi wheels are a good compromise between looks and performance? i mean they look good and they seem to stick you to the road nicely

The 15s are a handy size, yes. It doesn't scrub, tyres are cheaper, higher profile tyre is that bit more useful on the drag strip and gives a more supple ride, and I can still fit 285-290mm discs under there. 16s look brilliant, but have quite a few downsides - fine for a show car though!
