thought id stick some pics up of the work my local mot garage thought was acceptable. when the car came back to me after two weeks with its new mot certificate i found out that they had actually disconnected and blanked off the rear brakes because they couldn't get them working, needless to say that i have got trading standards involved and im sure that they wont be issuing mots for alot longer !!!, heres the pics, the last one is it sat in my mates garage getting sorted and looking a bit sorry for itself, hopefully be all done with my new rims on ready for townley park.

ive used this garage for a good few years now but its recently changed hands and the faces have all changed, its all been taken over by that hi q chain, all those pics and more are getting emailed to their head office and the local paper, if i get my way ill have the fuckin place shut down

i practically never take my car to a garage, do everything myself cos that way at least i know ive done it (not necesserily perfect) but well enough. my last garage was told to repair my brakes and for 150, gave me new callipers and the same problem back.I only trust one of my mates who is a mechanic, and ironically works for hi q in brighton

 

and by the way some of the people that work in those sort of places arent qualified mechanics!!!!be carefull getting work done. my parents asked local cab drivers where they went and that got them a goodun, till managment changed anyway.

 

Good place for MOT's is local council garage.

 

Cabbies round here go to the cheapest bodgyest places possible to save money

Fucking hell mate that is shockingly bad

Brake pipes are one of my fav jobs and always take my time and have them fitting as good and as neat as it did from the factory.

Its not even as if its a hard job to do on a Mk3 as there is plenty of room to fit the new pipes and you dont have to go removing anything to get to them, the place that did this deserves to be made an example off mate as that repairs look like it was done by someone lying under the car outside in the pissing rain and being done as a temp repair just to get you home

in all my years of car owning i'v done all the work my self (bar body work) and that is the reason why, its horibble to think someone done that to your brakes thinkin it'll be alright shut them down the bastards
