Sorry if i have placed this post in the wrong part
I have got a R reg escort
I am putting a voltmeter in my dashbord and wanted to know the best place to wire in the + and the - for the light and also the best place to wire in the + the - to the voltmeter.
Just one more thing, what amp wire should i be using for this?

I know you probably have sorted this, but it might help someone else

+ - for the light should be connected to the lights in the dash for example...something like the heater surrounds etc so the light only turns on when the car lights are switched on

+ - for the readings should be connected to the amp power cable, or if you dont have an amp, use something like the headunit pos and neg or direct to battery etc

Thanks, yes i have got it all done now but thanks any ways.
I use the light from the heater unit and use the ign live from the ign barrel
