Default Help Needed

Hi

i am after a favour if possible, i will pay of course i dont expect it for nothing.

my stepdad has just bought a Saleen Mustang s281 for his 65 birthday , i have searched high and low to get a 1/18 version in the correct colour but with no joy, today i managed to get 1 in blue, his car is black. What is the chance of someone being able to repaint it and put a couple of stickers to make it look the same as the real thing ?

as i say i would pay if any1 could do this for me, i am in essex, i may also be able to help with some cheap parts if you drive a ford, as i work in a ford parts dept.

Many Thanks

if it was any colour bar black id be tempted, ive never done a black one before but imagine getting a good finish with rattle cans would be hard.

you might be better off stripping the model down and getting a bodyshop to do the paint, then ask on here for the decals

i would be able to get it painted by a bodyshop as i deal with lots , but i dont feel confident enough to strip it and rebuild it , was never good with real cars let alone models LOL

It just takes practice. Im sure we were all the same when we started. So long as you take your time with it, then it will be ok.

by stripping it yourself you will gain some priceless experience , once the bodyshop have done there bit and painted it for you all i would do is leave it for a few days to let the paint harden properly , this is one of the biggest mistakes i used to make when i first started modding , as big stated above practice makes perfect and you will look forward to the next one a lot more if this one has been done by your own hand
be sure to keep us updated on the progress
