Default P100 or Integrale

£153 fully comp to insure my Lancia Delta Integrale, or £275 3rd party f & t for my 1.8 diesel p100. What a mad industry. Went for the p100 because the wife hates being seen in it!!

Will try and post some pics soon. It's insured for social use only, so when I asked why it was that price they said it's because it may have tools in it....were they being sarcastic??!!

I used to have a Vw caddy, they are more to insure even on personal use only but it is still the commercial aspect tat causes it. Don't understand it though

It's the fact that they see a commercial vehicle being more likely to be broken into by an opportunist thief looking for whatever they can get (ie Tools etc). They don't know it's not used for carrying equipment, so it still won't stop them breaking in.

"Smash and grab" attacks will be far more common amongst opportunists than breaking in to physically steal the vehicle nowadays as it's more difficult to steal cars to the Average Joe petty criminal.

True, but if they had any sense they could just unscrew the lights and indicators off a delta to keep the scum bags in weed.

But again, the average thick petty criminal would have no idea how rare or valuable those parts are!
