Default insurance nightmare

5 months down the line and still no payout off Aviva,,,, they have g4s investigating the claim and wont recognise the claim until they report back !!!!
I understand they may need to look into it but 5 months and I know for a fact they haven't even spoken to the police or the company I was renting storage off !!!
I made a complaint today to the ombudsman and 1hr later the insurance called me to give me an update , the same fucking update they gave me every week for the last 4 months I have been asking "g4s still investigating " how long can this go on ,,,,gutted that I lost the 3 door but this is the icing on the cake, needless to say I wont be getting another

rant over

G4S investigating would hardly inspire confidence !!!

Probably charging for investigating....whilst the investigator is having a pint in Ibiza or something

My last comment wasn't meant to offend pal, just wondering why they had g4s on the case.

Hope it gets sorted

Slight tad of hypocrisy any insurance company thinking anyone is unscrupulous !!!! The dirty criminal ba.....

I'd be torturing the Ombudsman every day until you get some sort of sensible resolution

stay on them mate, and keep a record of every conversation, time, date, what was said, then feed back to the ombudsman.

I got messed around for nearly three years on a case years back. It went on so long an independent group was brought in and reviewed the case and sided with me.

Just engage your solicitor and send them their invoice and tell them your solicitor is investigating the case for avoidance on pay-out and stress on your part, they are not above the law.

they say they have a right to investigate ,that i dont have an issue with , but 5 months is a bit long especialy when they give u no info on whats going on.

i found out my car was missing whilst away racing at cadwel park, someone i knows friend was offered a car like mine and alarm bels rang, they informed me and i had a friend go round the lock up and check if my car was there. It was gone !!
car had been off the road for 4 years ,brand new 550+ engine never ran,as i was to into the racing not doing shows.
turns out the person touting my car for sale was a member on here and a friend of mine !! when i asked him if he knew anything he said no but would ask around.
He later informed me the people with the car would knee cap him if he grassed and insisted he wasnt aware it was my car until i called him. I had him arrested and he told the police the same so they just let him go !!!!
The letting agent i was renting the secure lock up off did not inform me the units were changing hand, and it is when the new owner took over that the car went missing in a 4 week time span as that is roughly how often i would check in on the car.

so i understand why they want to look into it ,but cant understand the time they are taking ,,,bloody prices have gone up since it went missing .

oh and the police have be no use at all they havent even interviewed the lock up owner !!

So the police havent even bothered to investigate either ??

I'd be making serious complaints to the Insurance Ombudsman, and also whoever you complain to about the wanker cops !!

It sounds pretty straightforward as to what has happened. The new landlord is stole the damn thing.

So a member of the Pf community knew about a stolen car and was touting its sale? I would be fucking livid.

one reason you don't see me posting about my cars anymore on here, when my 3 door went missing a couple of members from here had/knew where my car was, even saw my wheels on one car at Brandshatch RS meet, again a member on here.

Name and shame! We don't want members having any dealings with any dodgy cunts! Pardon me for the foul language but I wouldn't let anyone near this dickhead if he can do that to a so called mate

I admire your patience and attitude towards this situation and hope you get it sorted out soon. Can't believe people on here knew something wasn't right and bailed out helping you. Poor show ...
